new found icecream lover
"I never made icecrea before. Whenever I read about ice and salt and cranking...I would just stop reading. But, I decided to try this maker based on the reviews and what seemed simple directions. So far I've made peanut butter icecream, strawberry icecream and raspberry sorbet and I am not disappointed, but rather surprised that I could pull this off. Some reviews said that one could make two types of icecream with one "freeze," but I imagine it would be somelthing like vanilla and then chocolate. I might try this; however, I ordered an extra bowl with the offer that is currenty available. When the directions say to put the product in the freezer for a harder icecream, it is correct! The icecream does get harder; at least that is the way we like it. All parts are simple to clean. And it appears the bowl freezes much quicker than what is recommend, but I have not tried making icecream before the 16 hour minimum. As far as expense compared to store bought non-premium, this is not a cheaper way to get icecream, but at least I know what is going in and what goes in regarding presevatives (as in things like chips, cookie dough, etc., is your choice). Buying by the scoop at an icecream shop is much more expensive. And, further, the icecream made with this maker is of premium quality. If this machine turns out to be durable, it's a 10 star!"

Awesome machine
"First time I used it, took only 20 minutes to make the best tasting frozen yogurt. The family loved the fact that it was low calorie. Since that first use, I have played around with many combinations and have been able to make some awesome tasting frozen yogurt and low fat ice cream. Vanilla seems to be the

Perfect Family Gift
"I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present and he loved it! He is a chef and enjoys cooking at home so this was like a cherry on the pie. So Good And So Easy To Use
"The Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker is so easy to use. You just pour in the ingredients and the machine handles the rest. You can alter the ingredients to reduce the calorie and fat content and it comes out just great. You can add any kind of crushed candy to give it your own unique twist."

Loved Shower Gift
"I purchased the Cuisinart Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt Maker for a shower gift. It looked nice, but when I went to check out the salesperson told me many of the store employees LOVE theirs. While we were talking 3 or 4 employees walked by and noticed what I was buying. They all raved about the machine. Can't get any better recommendations than that! Now I want one for myself. Affordable Fun for Everyone

"My daughter is registered with C&B for her Oct. wedding, and all her gifts are coming to my home and of all her great C&B gifts this is the one I want to keep. "I purchased this ice cream maker from Crate and Barrel this summer and have used it several times to make ice cream. Set up is simple and directions are easy to follow. Scrumptious gelato!
"I bought this for my husband, who believes that ice cream is its own food group. We decided to make chocolate gelato with chocolate chunks. Since we have heart conditions, we have to be careful of certain ingredients, so substitutions were made (2% milk, Splenda instead of sugar). It turned out beautifully and was just delicious, especially when it's been in the freezer only 20 minutes or so - it's like soft serve ice cream. It may be my freezer but we did freeze what was left and it was as hard as a rock the next day. Looking forward to trying more recipes."

"I asked for this as a gift from my husband. I recall having an ice cream maker as a child and it being so fun to make with my dad. We have two small children now and I want to create those memories with them. "This machine is wonderful! I think we have made ice cream or sorbet every night since we have owned it! The product also comes with a bunch of recipes and we have already tried out vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter cup, s'mores, dark chocolate sorbet, blueberry (instead of raspberry) sorbet, and cheesecake with raspberry sauce! I will admit there are some slight caveats...you need to keep the bowl in the freezer until you are ready to use it for this machine to work as expected. I do wish the ice cream would get firmer in the 20 minutes or so that it mixes, but that is easily fixed by putting a portion in the freezer for 10 or 15 minutes to firm up. It makes a good amount (we have a family of 5 and it makes enough for everyone to have a bowl)...sometimes we even have leftovers! Overall this is an FANTASTIC product and I am so glad I bought it!!"
