Good for Bar Snacks
"My husband and I just bought this small bowl to use on our home bar. We used for crackers, and it worked great. It is a nice size; it holds a lot of crackers without taking up too much space. Based on other reviews and my own examination of the product, I figured I shouldn't let it air dry. If you just dry it after you wash it, it seems it will stay shiny. I would have given if five stars if I could have let it air dry."

Would recommend with reservations
"I had the same experience as the others with discoloration. I used the bowls to float hydrandeas as a decoration on my summer table. Obviously, after holding water for 3 days, they will probably never see use as salad bowls. But they do make lovely flower holders, especially if one uses one's silver and candlelight for a dinnr party. Have not yet tried the treatment recommended by Crate and Barrel recommended in response to another reviewers concern."

was a nice gift
"A friend gave me 3 bowls as a housewarming gift. they seemed great. Some olives were put in one bowl for a dinner party - a guest put it in the refrigerator as part of clean up. A few days later, the bowl was dark and spotted. I tried to clean it with aluminum cleaner, but it didn't work. It was spotty and white. I ended up recycling the bowl. Please be aware that this bowl is not stainless steel."

beautiful but have to know how to use it
"I love this missoula bowl. It is definitely pretty and shinny. Excellent for decoration and to serve apetizers. However, you cannot let water dry on it, otherwise you will have stained spots.
That was my mistake, I bought it and left on the sink to wash later. When I came back it was full of water stains, now I need to learn how to remove them (not just by washing)."

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for your experience with the Missoula Small Bowl. The Missoula Small Bowl is made of 100% Aluminum Alloy. Because of its material content it will develop a natural patina over time. However, you can remove water spots using our Maas Flatware and Metal Polish. Just apply the polish sparingly to a soft dry cloth and wipe the surface and the water spots should disappear. Thank you for taking the time to write a product review.
