Good quality, good price
"I am very pleased with these pillow inserts. I followed other reviewers' advice and bought 18' inserts for a 16' pillow case and love the way they turned out. Full and firm, and they hold their shape very nicely. I love crate&barrels commitment to great quality at great prices!"

"I couldn't find the perfect pillows, but I could find the perfect material- so I bought 3 down pillow inserts. They were a great price and were delivered fast. I couldn't tell a difference between these inserts and the insert of a simple pillow that I paid over $60."

I don't get it

"These pillow inserts are terrific--plump with a firm feel. Other reviewers recommended buying one size up--order an 18-inch insert for a 16-inch cover. I took their advice and I recommend it. The pillows look great. Excellent Crate and Barrel quality at a reasonable price."

Smaller than you might think
"Maybe everyone else knows, but I didn't: the dimension given for width is of the unfilled insert fabric. So, when the insert is filled with feathers, the functional and visual width is smaller by 1-2 inches. If you want your pillow to measure 12" across the middle, that is, to fill about 12 inches of visual space, get a 14" pillow."

excellent price/smaller
"I, like others, have priced down pillows like these and have found that the price is excellent! I would recommend buying the next size up if you prefer plump pillows. The insert do fit the size of the pillow, but just fall a little short of being full. I will continue to buy these pillows because they are soft but hold their shape. I like to be able to see the design of the pillows and these inserts hold the pillows up so you can see the details of your cover. All in all I would recommend these 100%!!!! Just keep in mind the fullness you are looking for when choosing the size of the insert you wish to buy."

Odd smell
"I have purchased these pillows before and love them. However, the last two I purchased had a very strange odor. Moisture may have gotten in as they smelled "spoiled". After attempting to air them out a couple of days, they were exchanged (new ones seem fine). I had also purchased the 20x20 size from a different C&B store and had the same issue. So, I think there may have been a bad shipment."

"Great value, nice full density, and feathers haven't poked out thus far! Pillows arrived vacu-suctioned flat to save space, so let them breathe and expand to full fluffiness. C&B price was better than another decorating store for feather inserts. Happy with this purchase and hooray for flat rate ship!"
