Beautifully simple bright white
"These dishes are perfect for everyday use, they are beautifully simple, the weight and design feels comfortable to handle, stacks nicely and fits nicely in dishwasher. You would have to be very rough with these to chip, I have cafeware from. 15 years ago that looks like new."

"I searched for 2 months for modern white, practical everyday use dishes and finally chose these. Crate & Barrel packaged them so well it took some time to unwrap them and I appreciated not having a single scratch!
These stack well, no marks when you use a knife on them and they aren't too thin or too thick. Exactly what we were looking for and I bought place settings for 7 for the under the price of other retailers with less quality dishes.
No complaints at all, load in dishwasher nicely too. Highly recommend! Best purchase this year so far"

great dishes
"These are exactly what I was looking for to replace my aging dishes. Bought two sets plus extra plates. Their simple, clean, all white design looks great. The pieces are all generously sized. Because of their design. with the simple lip at the edge, the dinner and salad plates have much more usable space than the ones they replaced. They contain liquids very easily. For the price, they can't be beat for everyday dishware."

"Picked up 4 dinner and salad plates at an outlet store 5 years ago. These are the greatest plates for everyday use.
Thick and sturdy but not too heavy to hand wash. We aren't gentle with things here at our house and these plates have taken beatings and survive still with no chips.

We use the salad size the most; it's plenty big enough for regular meals. O and, the edges have a perfect lip for liquids such as sauces and juices.
Later I picked up the wide soup bowls. Also great in minimizing tipping incidents.

Love, Love, Love
"I love these dishes more than any I have ever had. They are perfect for my family. They are great quaility, especially for the price. They are very heavy which I like. The plates, bowls and mugs are great size. The color is not bright white but still a good color of white which will stay in stay for awhile. They are perfect for everyday dinnerware but you can also dress them up for more formal meals. You can use them with any accent color and they will look great. I can not brag enough on them. I order two sets and four extra plates. I also ordered four of the 5.5 bowls. I like the 5.5 bowls too but the bowls that come in the set are used the most. All the dishes stack well for storing. The plates have a rounded edge with is a good feature. I am considering ordering more pieces because I like them so well. NOTE: two plates were broken when I received them. I did not send them back. I just accepted as my lost."

Mad Money Well Spent
"Wanted these dishes for over a year and finally bought them with my "mad money" when we moved into our new house. Love how the bowls stack without being loosy-goosy. Plates, though, with their lips, don't stack evenly. As a result, they get "slide-y," and they're heavy, so keep that in mind if you'll be storing them in a cupboard over your head (like we do). They're also thick, so you might have to adjust how you fill your dishwasher (my husband now complains about this - I tell him he'll live. :) )"

"We have been looking long and hard for "everyday dishes" that are both stylish and durable. We found them with the Cafeware collection!

"Arrived very carefully packed. I had purchased 2 sets in the store and then ordered a third set online because I love them and wanted to have enough on hand if serving company. Casual and versatile dishes
"I ordered the 6.5" bowls as I needed something a little larger than the 5.5" bowls which I already have. Am very pleased with the size. I have had the Cafeware I for many years and have purchased Cafeware II serving pieces as needed. I love the fact these are nice and heavy, very durable and simple dishes. Because they are white, the food really pops out on them. I love putting them on colorful and patterned placemats for a modern look."

Oven safe? SOLD!
"I had service for 8 of these dishes for over 10 years and they were Ah-Mah-Zing! I was originally sold on the fact that they were oven safe. Can you say individual nachos on the salad plates and french onion soup in the mugs!?!
I paid full price for them and recently gave them away to a roommate when i moved in with my fiance but I miss them so much that I'm thinking of buying them all over again.
Over 10 years of having them not a single plate, bowl or cup broke."

"I read all of the reviews before purchasing and the few negative reviews turned out to be positive for me. These dishes are not "pure" white, but rather a dirty white. I had a previous set of dishes this color and didn't want to have to replace serving pieces.
The dishes are heavy.
This is a very basic, "less is more" style of dinnerware.
I had one plate broken in shipping which was immediately replaced at no cost to me after calling the company.
The lip around the edge of the dish is great for juices/liquids from food.
I shopped around EVERYWHERE for new dishes and this quality for the price couldn't be beat!"

Really Nice
"I love the overall appearance and and the quality! Really nice! I feel like this is a classic look that will hold its own for a long time to come.
One dinner plate and one salad plate each had a small manufacturing ding which Crate & Barrel promptly handled by shipping replacements. My only complaint, and it is a small one... the plates do not stack as well as I would like because of the rim/lip. It is not a huge problem, but possibly something to consider. I have never seen anything packed so well in my life."

Lovely and practical dishes!
"Nice warm white color, and love that the plates hold sauces without spilling. Cups are a nice size for either coffee or soup. I found the plates to fit well in my dishwasher even with the raised rims. The plates and bowls are sturdy and wonderfully stackable. The cups don't stack, but do feel nice to hold with the cool ribbon-like handle. Sturdy, packaged well and eco-wrapped, the dishes arrived in perfect condition. The employees at the outlet store (on Clybourn) were very nice and helpful. May order more!"
