Zinc 27.5 Tall Square Planter
Double-walled planters in galvanized iron with a zinc finish lend industrial sophistication to the garden. Love, love, love!
"I had been searching for tall planters at a reasonable price and came upon Crate and Barrel. These planters were exactly what I wanted for the front of my house. I ended up making multiple purchases after the first shipment came to my house. I took the advice of a previous reviewer and sprayed the inside of each container with Rustoleum, to prevent rust on the inside. I love the planter insert that you can remove. I didn't use nearly the potting soil I've used in the past. I put some river rock inside each container some they wouldn't blow over on a windy day. These look great in front of my house. You can't go wrong with these planters! Thanks Crate and Barrel."

Great deal for price
"Look very attractive though a bit flimsy when handled. But can't beat the price. One got dinged up during shipping- luckily I just turned that side toward the wall. I searched a lot online for planters of this sort and C&B had best pricing by far. Has drainage hole and insert so don't have to fill entire planter which is nice. Definitely recommended overall."

great looking planters
"these are wonderful planters. love that there are drain holes and a removable liner. so simple to plant and then change out plants as desired. they are lightweight so we put a large bag of landscape rocks in the bottom of each and also sprayed them with a rustproof spray inside and out since we are using them outdoors at our front gate. well worth the price."

Statement piece
"This is just beautiful on my front porch. It appeared a bit on the brown side, but when I got it, it was definitely slate grey. It's gorgeous, but I needed it to be a bit more brown. $2 can of spray paint and it is perfect! Love that it comes apart and has drainage holes! Great price, too."

Great buy, but...warning
"I purchased two of these a year ago and had occasion to replant in one of them yesterday. What I discovered when I emptied it was rust. The entire inside of the removable portion is rusting away. I would still recommend the product, but before planting in it perhaps spray it with Rustoleum or some similar product to prevent this from happening. Also treat the bottom inside portion if you remove the plug from the smaller one, since then water will drain into it."

So Happy With My Purchase
"This planter is a great addition to my small urban deck! Not only is it attractive, but the best feature is the insert or false bottom. You only need to fill the insert with soil, however you can weigh it down with rocks as needed. It makes it much easier to move, plant, re-plant, etc.
I haven't seen many planters at other stores that have this kind of feature and are great looking like this one. Love my purchase!"

Great Modern Planter for the Price
"Finding a tall modern planter for a reasonable price wasn't easy - but this one fits the bill. The metal is lightweight so be warned that it is a little flimsy. Not sure how it would stand up to bad weather outdoors but we have had it indoors for a couple months now and couldn't be happier with how it looks (very clean, simple, modern). Doesn't leak and planter insert is perfect size. I did put a brick in bottom to keep from being too top heavy. Overall, great purchase for an indoor planter."

LOVE IT!
"I shopped around all over and these are the best deal. You cant beat the price!! These sell for over 100$ on most sites. They look very elegant in front of my house and I am getting lots of compliments. I have one on each side of my front door. I polished them with some orange oil and they really shined up and remained that way through snow and rain. They shipped fast and were EXACTLY what I was looking for. Get them!! You wont be sorry!!"

Good Looking AND Best Price!
"I bought these for my wedding to have at our "altar" after a bit of looking around. I found that these were the best priced option for what I was looking for. I received them promptly and since they are so lightweight, they are easy to transport which is great. Will definitely put a brick or two in the bottom as other users suggest - and will fill with water bottles instead of soil as I always see on HGTV.
Can't wait to use them at our wedding and then out on the back deck for years to come!"

"I had been looking for planters like this for a while, only to find that many this size sold for hundreds of dollars, were extremely heavy, and were much too wide for my steps. I didn't think that I would find anything when I saw these planters in the window of my local Crate and Barrel store. I bought them immediately and planted bright yellow marigolds in the inset.
That's another very nice thing about these planters - there's an inset that will hold a medium size plant. Switching out plants is simplicity and the inset makes it a breeze to plant items as well. Most of the planter is hollow, which makes it just light enough to move around but not so light that it will blow over. I live in the South where we have some pretty crazy thunderstorm and these have stood tall through it all!
Please see the image below for my front porch! No lie - since putting these planters out two months ago I've had no fewer than three neighbors ringing the bell to ask where I got them!"

Color not as pictured
"Ordered online, picked up in the store which was very convenient. Rookie mistake, did not open the box to see the color before I got home. Unlike the picture which shows it mainly black with a bit of grey, the planter I received was mostly blue and patchy in color - not the look I was hoping for. Will attempt to exchange for a more solid color back in the store."

"I bought 2 of these planters for my front porch last summer. I was hesitant to buy them at first, because they looked like they might not hold up in Texas's extreme weather. I'm glad I did.
