Hunter Side Trunk
"Since we love the Hunter Trunk so much we decided to add the side trunk to complete the look in our living room. We h ave received many compliments on how nice our living room looks now with its addition. It's a bit smaller than my old table but with some rearranging of some items, it has worked out fine! Highly recommend it!"

Storage in an end table
"What a novel idea? Trunk got delivered right before Christmas. Just in time for the holiday party I hosted. Everyone loved the piece. It just tied the living room so nicely with rest of Crate & Barrel pieces I have."

A "Crate" end table!
"We ordered this to be used as an end table to complete a coffee table and end table we had in our family room. I crossed my fingers that the color on the web site would be true--it is. It matches exactly with our other pieces.
The only drawback is that access to the storage part is from the top, which means you have to take lamp and decorative items, etc., off to get to it. I wish it had been a pull-out drawer instead. We have never used the tray inside the lid, either, for the same reason. But I love the look of the piece."

Love the trunk!
"We bought this side trunk along with the large (coffee table) trunk. This trunk is amazing. The wood is a beautiful finish and the shape is wonderful. The handles on the side are a nice touch, and the openings on the top are great. It is very rustic and sleek, and goes well with our dark brown leather furniture. What's wonderful about the trunk is that you can keep all the things you want handy in the serving tray and just open the top and take it out as needed. The hinges have a soft close, so the tops of trunk never slam down; this is a wonderful safety feature. We have wood floors, so we did put felt on the legs to ensure it didn't scratch the floors. This was also helping in moving the trunk around when we were deciding on how to layout the furniture."

Very color and solid construction
"We bought the Hunter II Trunk and matching Side Trunk in October. It's absolutely beautiful. The Side trunk is used as an end table and the full trunk is used as coffee table. I'm going to exchange the Side trunk because the screw/nail of one of the handles penetrated all the way through the wood into the inside, otherwise it is perfect in color and quality."

After a long search...
"After a very long serach for the perfect coffee table and side tables we finally found it in this beautiful piece. The wood is beautiful and and the quality of work is amazing. The hinges are slow close which is perfect for when little fingers are around. The extra storage comes in handy as well. Worth every penny and would recommend to all."

Good, but was better before!
"We loved out Hunter trunk and side table (purchased in September) and decided we need a pair of side table -- surprise! The design was changed (albeit only a little). Now the top opening is the entire top (where the 'lid' was only half of the original. This makes it difficult to keep a lamp or anything on the table as you need to move it to get at the inside. I LOVE my other one (where the lamp and whatever else can stay on half while you open the other side.), but this is NOT as good."

This is a great set!
"We bought the hunter trunk & side trunk in October. I absolutely love it! It's got so much storage and a tray on the inside, and goes with all sorts of furniture. We also bought the hunter trunk and it goes really well with it. We had company at Christmas and our family loved it. It hasn't been damaged easily. Definitely want to use coasters. The downsides are that it shows dust easily, dirt can get stuck in the cracks, and if you have anything on display on top of the hunter trunk or side trunk you have to pick it up to open up the storage compartment."
