"I needed something for the nook in my apartment, which had a granite slab for a worktop. The cabinet is slightly shorter than most file cabinets and fit my space perfectly. It's also deeper than it is wide, so files fit sideways. It also fits legal sized folders.
The overall quality is very good. The cabinet feels solid and heavy, and the drawer slides are smooth and sturdy.
Aside from CANDBMIKE's review, my cabinet came with two aluminum rails (wrapped in styrofoam and attached with a red string to the exterior of the box). Perhaps CANDBMIKE was not as fortunate as I, or he tossed them by mistake, but I wouldn't let his review deter you from purchasing this cabinet."

Looks great; No way to hold files
"The Patterson filing cabinet looks great and goes well with my other Crate & Barrel furniture. However, it fails in functionality out of the box. The bottom drawer has notches for hanging file rails, but no rails were included with the cabinet. I have to look elsewhere to find rails that will both fit and match the design of the cabinet - a daunting task."
