poor quality control
"received 2 as a gift. one was great, the lamp shade was crooked on the second one because of the metal base. exchanged it, and that lamp was a different color, more white and gold. went to exchange it again, color still doesn't match the first, and screw at the top of the harp is crooked, so the shade isn't straight!"

Pretty lamp.
"When I received this lamp, I was concerned it
had more color than the pictures online. The lamp ended up really perfect however. It's different, but still classic. It has beautiful light because of the lining inside the shade. It would not work for a reading light, but creates a warm atmospshere. Great Purchase."

Different and unique
"I wasn't really planning on buying a new lamp for my dresser, but this caught my eye on the website. Then I went to the store and checked it out. I love the gold/silver textured finish on the base and the elongated drum shade. It's different and unique. It now sits atop a 200+ year old Chippendale 5 drawer chest. I like the effect of mixing old and new."

Quality and Elegant
"We just got this lamp to place on our buffet. Wanted something that was not too huge, as we had a bunch of photos from travel up on the wall. Other lamps were either really tall (the kind you would keep on a side table) or had quite wide bases. The Vera is perfect because of it proportions. In addition, the base is beautiful, love the champagne color!! Gives off a nice warm glow as the shade is not too dark. The piece can stand alone, and looks very classy but also blends in well with its environment, if that makes sense."

Vera Lamp is PERFECT!
"I don't usually jump to the moon about things like lamps, but this gal is PERFECT. Elegant, simple, sturdy. The three way bulb makes it altogether useful for reading or to create "atmosphere." I am thinking of getting another one! I do recommend the beige shade over the white one, as it goes better with the base I think. Bravo!"

Great lamp
"I bought this lamp for my office and it's a perfect fit. Its beautiful and elegant, and a good size-not to big or small. The warm champagne color adds something without being over-powering or distracting. This is the fourth Crate and Barrel lamp I have purchased for my house."

Stunning!
"We bought two of these lamps for our bedroom nightstands. It's always been difficult for my husband and me to agree on lamps. I like fat lamps and he likes tall graceful ones. We both love the Vera lamps. The ceramic finish is unusual and beautiful. The olive fabric-lined shade is a quality touch. We thought we wouldn't want a 3-way bulb that went up to 150 watts, but it's needed because of the dark lining. We are both very happy with this purchase."

Defective casting
"Recommended with caveat: check for defective casting. We had to return this lamp because the neck was slightly off center which led to the shade being off center over the lampbase. When viewing the lamp head on (it was placed on a console), we didn't notice the defect. But when we viewed the lamp from either side of the console, it looked really odd. We finally realized the lampshade was not centered over the base; the neck of the lamp being off center resulted in the lampshade being closer to the wall than it should have been. Visualize non-concentric circles. Otherwise, very pretty lamp."

Beautiful finish
"The lamp is somewhat smaller than we expected, but the tall narrow drum shade gives it real presence in the room. And the finish on the lamp base is really beautiful--it's textured and multi-tonal. We've been looking for the perfect lamp for our living room for a while, and this fits the bill!"

GOR-geous lamp
"I can't take my eyes off this sexy little lamp! It's construction is pure quality, but the best part is it's phenomenal design. It's sophisticated and understated, and doesn't need to scream to get attention, but it sure does bring glam to a room! At this reasonable price, I may buy more!"
