Gorgeous bamboo
"I bought this bamboo salad bowl because of its size and the previous comments about the bamboo. People were not kidding about the beauty of the bowl--the bamboo is just beautiful. This bowl should be displayed. When it's not being used for salad, I'm going to use it as a fruit bowl. It is rather large for just the two of us for everyday but would be perfect for a larger family or for entertaining. I bought the matching tongs and they look perfect. Great Crate and Barrel purchase!"

"I just purchased this bowl for a wedding shower. Before wrapping I put in a bag of chips and jar of salsa from Crate & Barrel. This bowl is so sturdy and beautiful, but still very light - a perfect hostess bowl."

This bowl will serve you well!
"Everyone who sees this bowl says the same thing: This piece is a work of art. The detail of its construction is exquisite. The pictures don't do it justice. Before I use it, I can't help but run my hands along the bottom while I admire those "layers rings of bamboo." I am so glad that I will be able to use this bowl for years to come! It also serves as the perfect salad bowl! It is low and wide, big enough to toss and serve a salad for four. It is a perfect companion piece to the bamboo salad hands."
