Inspired by the Bauhaus school movement, this simply beautiful teapot with warmer was designed in 1931 for the Arzberg porcelain factory in Germany. It's a classic that's as fresh today as it was the day when a young high school teenager by the name of Gordon Segal first bought the teapot as a birthday gift for his mother who loved making tea in the afternoons. When he grew up and opened the very first Crate and Barrel store in Chicago with his wife in 1962, he bought it again. And again. And again. Today, over 45 years later, Arzberg continues to be one of our most popular, all-time classics. Perfect proportions, beautiful central shape, exquisite white porcelain. -Pure porcelain -Warmer uses one tealight to keep beverages warm for hours -Dishwasher- and microwave-safe -Made in Germany

"I was looking for a warmer and this was a good match for my current teapot. I like being able to keep a pot of tea warm on a cold rainy day. I can drink my fill of hot tea and not have to keep boiling more water for the next cup of tea. It works for me!"

Delightful!
"I have never been much for teapots, but this one has changed me. It fits a perfect amount of tea (my favorite is peppermint) and keeps it warm over the course of the morning. It is now an indispensable part of my day and the large ceramic mugs and cold tea are no more. I wonder if work would let me burn tea lights in my office, as this would make a great addition there as well."
"Okay, I have a porcelain teapot warmer my mother brought me from Germany years ago - and I have lived in dread of it being broken since I've never seen another for sale in the states (and we use it every day.) Then I stumbled upon this one in the catalog, and finally couldn't resist it. And it is gorgeous. Heavy, perfect white porcelain - and the best thing about the design is it accommodates any size or shape of teapot base with stability (my original warmer only works well below a certain size of round teapot..) So, I'll eventually be purchasing 2 more - so both my daughters won't have to be without a teapot warmer when they leave home. Stuff like this is why I love Crate & Barrel."

Teapot Apex
"Because I drink a lot of loose tea, I have developed something of a teapot fetish. In my search for the perfect one, I have, over the last several years, amassed quite a collection of teapots. For one reason or another, all of them fell short of perfection's mark. Except this one. It really is perfect. The perfect size and the perfect design. Moreover, because of its unique design, this warmer is the most effective one I've yet encountered at actually keeping tea warm over a period of several hours. I'm in love!"
"As an avid tea drinker, I was looking for a good replacement for my last teapot, bought in England.
I did a fair amount of research on the web, and the Arzberg had excellent reviews. I like the classic style, non-drip pouring spout, and lid that stays on when pouring. It's a great size for my husband and I, and I love it so much that I would like to purchase the bigger version for when we have guests."
"I love this set. The teapot is a great size - not too small or too big. It holds about 4 cups/mugs of tea. The warmer is beautiful when the tealight is lit and it keeps the tea the perfect temperature without making the bottom of the pot black. The porcelain is sturdy and dishwasher proof."
