Just what I was looking for
"I've been searching for individual onion soup crocks but couldn't find any that were safe to use under the broiler for melting the cheese. Then I found these on the website, ordered a set of four, and was very pleased when they arrived perfectly intact. The packing was excellent. The bowls are a nice weight, restaurant quality, and the price was great."

just like a trip to Paris
"These onion soup crocks are exactly like the ones you'd find in restaurants in Paris. Imagine a warm steaming bowl of onion soup topped with a thin baguette slice, with gruyere cheese melted all over the top. These traditional crocks with handles are absolutely perfect, especially easy to handle after melting the cheese in the oven. Bon appetit!"

"I originally purchased some of these when I was making soup-themed gift baskets for the holidays. Everone loved them and commented on how they were the perfect size. Love 'em
"I actually use these bowls for chili but, would also try them for onion soup. I wish the top of the bowl's circumferance was smaller just for the cheese part of the soup, though. Can't beat the price at approx. $4.50
each - I bought 8. They are sturdy and I banged one by accident against another and no chipping or cracking occured. Would recommend. They do look a little "imperfect" in regard to the glazing/painting processes, so if you are looking for perfection in the overall apperance of the bowl, look elsewhere. These are great for a family."

Reminded me of my childhood
"I found these soup bowls while searching for other items on the website, and they suddenly reminded me of these soup bowls my mom used to have when we were growing up. I immediately ordered 6! Perfect soup & casserole bowl
"I bought 8 of these bowls for onion soup, having searched and searched the kitchen stores with fancier and more expensive soup bowls. I wanted bigger than 8 oz but less than 16 oz, sturdy but not too heavy. (these hold 10 oz) Now that I have them, I use them for every soup, stew, and chili, as well as serving individual casseroles, ice cream, and individual desserts. They are a little small for my teenage son (he EATS). The big surprise was they are perfect for my parents to handle, now that they have arthritis and aren't as nimble getting things in and out of ovens, sinks, and dishwasher. I bought 6 more for them. Great fit on a plate with a sandwich or chunky bread."

Just what I needed
"These are perfect onion soup crocks. The handle is key in order to easily take the crocks out of the oven after they have been in the broiler. Useful for creating a gratin out of almost anything. I've already tried it with cauliflower, soup and mini-lasagnas. Glad I found these!"

Love this little croc bowl
"I had originally purchased this soup croc for chili, but I found I have used it for many things. Individualy baked Mac & Cheese, Baked Penne, soup, stew, ice cream, avacado dip, appetizer server and of course chili! We are really trying to scale down our portions and using this soup croc helps me do that but with flair. In and out of the oven, in and out of freezer or frig, it makes a great presentation for guests or just me and my man."

Versatile little bowls

Exactly what I wanted!
"I recently decided to learn to make French Onion Soup. At first, I used normal bowls from my flatware collection. Which, as you can imagine, worked alright but not perfectly. The soup crocks were easy to handle and pull from the broiler. They were also perfectly shaped to allow the cheese to melt all around the edges. Quick to clean. Wonderful."

"I ordered ten of these for french onion soup. They were a gift for a relative who owns a bakery/cafe. She loved them--very attractive, perfect size. I love the little handle and they were reasonably priced. Four of them were broken on arrival but replacements were sent within 24 hours and I didn't have to pack up the broken pieces to send them back. Great service."
