Classic Beauty
"I first purchased this set 5 years ago as my wedding china. With the threat of it being discontinued it pushed me to complete at least part of my set before it was too late. When it came in the mail even my husband was impressed with the quality and its beauty. Would recommend over and over again for these classic beauties."

Timeless style

Loved White Pearl but watch out...

"I registered for and received 8 place settings, 2 serving bowls, the large platter, the smaller rectangular platter, creamer and sugar bowl and tea pot for my wedding in 2008. I picked them because they were both beautiful and supposedly durable for everyday use. After using the large platter twice it formed stress cracks. After 2 years one of the dinner plates cracked clear through half of the plate. It's almost 5 years now since I received this china I thought I would have forever but I am down to 2 plates, the rest have either split or have stress cracks that look like shattered glass. The tea pot, bowls, creamer/sugar, cups and saucers and the small platter have, so far, remained fine though I'm very disappointed overall. Well made and taken care of china should last a long time. We used these plates normally and washed them in the dishwasher, which they were supposed to be safe for. No wonder they're being discontinued."

Too Perfect to Discontinue!!!
"I have had this gorgeous china for almost 6 years and still love it as much as when I registered for it. I have place settings for 10 and all of the serving pieces (including the teapot). Every piece looks brand new and not a single one has a chip or crack. We actually use our china more often than just holidays. I even gave away our everyday earthenware because these are perfect for everyday use. I am hoping to stock up on some extra pieces before it is gone. Please don't discontinue!!!"

LOVE these dishes!
"These dishes are the most perfect & most versatile white dishes you will ever come across. I love them so much.
Originally on our wedding registry, my husband and I use these for our special occasion meals.
Clean up great in the dishwasher and are just oh so beautiful and go with everything! Gotta love white."

Elegant and versatile
"I was debating between registering for china in addition to every day plates, but it felt wasteful to have a set of formal dishes given our casual lifestyle. These were the perfect in between. They're elegant enough to be used in a formal setting, but can be dressed down for everyday use as well. I love their simplicity as it allows the opportunity to mix and match with other more festive pieces and a variety of table linens. All in all very happy with my decision."

There is hope!
"Hi White Pearl lovers! I registered for this dinnerware for my 02/23/2013 wedding even while it was under "discontinued" as I loved it so much and searched long and hard to find something better, but came up empty!! Crate & Barrel apparently only had a limited contract with the manufacturer to be the US supplier and it is in the works to find another retailer for it. Hope that helps! Get those pieces at a discount now while you can! :)"

Versatile Design
"Dear Crate and Barrel,
Please reconsider your decision to discontinue this pattern. I have several china patterns, but this is the most versatile. We dress it up with vintage depression glass for special occasions. We dress it down with poIka dot place mats for every day. I registered for it 8 years ago, and purchase at least one new place setting a year as my extended family grows. I never thought it would still be available 8 years later, but I am so sorry to see it go."

Wonderful dinnerware - so sad it's discontinued
"My husband and I have been using the white pearl dinnerware as our everyday set for two years now. We have been so impressed with how well the plates have held up to every day use -- we put them in the dishwasher every day, and they are still as beautiful as the day we got them. We continue to get compliments to this day on how elegant and clean this dinnerware is. When I found out a few weeks ago that this set was discontinued, I was really saddened. I went ahead and bought extras for all of our plates, and I bought some of the other items like the sugar and creamer. This dinnerware is such a great purchase -- buy as much of it as you can while it lasts!"

I Heart This:
"I can't even express how much I looooooooove the C&B bone china dinnerware. Turns out my mom IS always right! She advised to put on our wedding registry white bone china plates and I will never regret it. 5 years later, I am still as much in love with my plates as I am with my husband (well, almost, at least!)These plates have lasted so long and are so beautiful. They go with anything and can be fancy & formal, or casual."

Love these beautiful dishes
"I replaced some clunky stoneware dishes several years ago with the White Pearl dishes. Since they are fine bone china, they are strong, light weight and lovely for everyday or dinner parties. I am so disappointed to learn they are being discontinued. Please do NOT discontinue them...PLEASE!
Over the years, a few dishes have chipped and I must replace them NOW, before it is too late but I hope C&B will return this pattern as open stock for many more years."

"We have used this as our everyday china for over the last six years. And we love it. We've added more pieces over the years. Please do not discontinue such a great product. There is not another simple white, bone china pattern on the market that is under $150 a setting."

Don't discontinue
"We have a small kitchen and dining room so it would have been impractical to register for china and everyday dishes. I registered for these based on the wonderful reviews and the fact this was a classic pattern for C&B so I could add/replace over time.
Unfortunately after registering and receiving some pieces I found out that the pattern was being discontinued. I thought of returning what I had received and buying something else, but I love these so much I decided to keep them. Despite still having many settings and serving pieces on my registry after my shower and wedding, I bought up everything I could. Still, it would have been nice to be able to add more settings/pieces in the future."
