Designed by Erja Hirvi in 2004, Lumimarja (snowberries) is a modern return to organic and natural design encapsulated elegantly in this Marimekko pattern. The snowberry, whose interior resembles crystalline snowflakes, is representative of the beauty that can be found throughout Finland's vast wilderness. Reversible duvet cover has a hidden button closure at the bottom and interior fabric ties to hold the insert in place. Beautiful and great quality
"This is in a guest bedroom. The fabric is soft, smooth and has a nice luster. The room has French doors that open to a patio so the colors and pattern bring the outdoors in. I have the duvet and 2 shams but used C&B white sheets and pillow cases (Belo grey trim). Looks terrific."

Good but Expensive
"Very nice colors, soft fabric, looks great on the bed, however it is overpriced. It also ripped within six months of purchase on the edge and needs to be sown back up because my duvet is peeking out."

Disappointed!!!
"I have purchased 3 Marimekko duvet covers in Finland at Marimekko stores. So, I was excited to find a design I liked at Crate & Barrel. But the quality of this duvet cover I recently purchased from C & B is only fair. Most disappointing, this duvet cover does not have the nicely finished "hand openings" in the 4 corners for easily arranging the duvet inside the cover, like the Finnish originals! Plus, the quality of the cotton is flimsy (likewise the matching queen set of sheets I purchased at the same time.). I won't be purchasing any other "made for the American market" Marimekko products from Crate & Barrel."

Perfect first nap in our new home!
"We picked up this duvet today and put it on our bed in our new apartment. The light weight feel is extremely comfortable. We both love how the colors really brighten up our space. We decided not to go with the matching sheets and instead went with solid gray to complement the gray in the duvet. It's a great contrast!"

Fresh and Calming
"I purchased this for my guest bedroom and it looks fresh yet is calming. It is a bit wrinkly and needs ironing when it first comes. Pillow and duvet inserts must be white or they will show through."

Love it
"When I first saw this bedding set, I fell in love with the look but wasn't sure if I would like the material. Now I've had it for several months washed it couple of time and I love it. I love the way it feels, it's soft, light and cool. It might get a little wrinkly if u dry it for too long, make sure you tumble dry..it's my number 1 bedding linens"

Pleasantly surprised purchase
"I've just received my full/queen duvet. It fits my queen size bed nicely. As one customer said in her review, it has a nice sheen to it. It's very soft and quite comfortable. I don't know about the scratchiness because I haven't experienced it at all. I love the color and the design is contemporary and calming at same time. Beware...if you sleep with it you'll definitely wake up to wrinkles as one unhappy reviewer stated but I think the crinkles adds character. I truly love my purchase!"

Do NOT Buy, all around horrible product
"At first, I was in love with these sheets and decided to purchase them. First off, had to wait two weeks to get one of the pillow shams, and the duvet cover was damaged. I returned it and came home with a new one, excited to put it on the bed. The duvet cover does NOT fit and the extra fabric hangs loosely on the ground. The 'full size' would be more suitable for a king/queen bed. I have had it for about a month, and after about three washes, the color has started to fade from the green dots, and has turned an ugly washed out yellow. The fabric is rough, and I had hoped that after a few washes it would soften, but to my great dismay, it did not. The fabric is very prone to wrinkles and quite thin. If your pillows are not pure white you will need to buy liners. I am very unhappy with this product, and plan to try to return/exchange it as soon as possible. The only positive thing that I have to say about this product is that the pattern looks very nice at first glance. So lastly, do NOT purchase this product, you will be very disappointed."

"Decided to splurge for this during the bedding sale, and have been very happy with the purchase so far. It seems to have some sort of sheen or protective coating over it, which helps it stand up to the constant abuse from my naughty pets who refuse to get off the bed. My only complaint is that the design in the middle seems a bit off-center."

Lovely pattern, low quality fabric and finish
"This duvet has a lovely pattern, but once I got it home it was disappointing. It did not meet my expectations of this brand and price point. The fabric has a low thread count and is flimsy. You can see through it. There is a horizontal ladder across the middle of my cover ( 2 or more threads are missing in the weave, so do check yours out carefully before you launder; I wish I had done so!) The closure is rudimentary--no flap to conceal the buttons, as one might expect in a quality duvet cover; no edging, over-stitching, or piping along the edges, so it does not look quite finished on the bed. Fabric wrinkles easily, and does not lie crisp and neat.. Also, dimensions do not exactly match American standard sizes (the cover is longer than the comforter), so duvet swims around uncomfortably. There are tabs inside the cover, though, so with some investment of time and effort, you could figure out a way to secure the corners of your duvet to the cover in a way that still allowed you to remove the cover for laundering."

"I love Marimekko textiles and these are no exception. They are comfortable, a lovely design, and have a soothing quality I need in my bedroom. I feel very at peace lying on them. Also I want to give Crate and Barrel props for unbelievably fast delivery: I got them less than 24 hours after I ordered them. Overall I am very happy with them."
