The rustic beauty of Big Sur lies in its solid European white oak with naturally occurring splits, cracks and knots (see additional photos). Its intricate, narrow grain is produced by a colder climate, making each piece unique. Big sur charcoal table
"Beautifully made table which has been left down by its disappointing finish. Having bought the table approximately 2months ago, we noticed that even with the smallest of spills cleaning the table with the softest of micro fiber cloths will start to remove the finished stain. Rub it anyway hard and you have pale patch on your table. Edges of the table where people sit have all the stain removed from arms and hands rubbing against it.This table will need constant staining and continuous bees wax polishing. Now while that in itself is not a big thing to do, for the price I would have never expected to put this amount of work into a dining table. After all as a dining table it should withstand normal day to day use."

Beautiful table!
"We've had this table for a few months now, and really love the quality and outlook! We highly recommend applying beeswax on it though, (we applied several times) because small spills do show on the surface but are easily covered with the wax.
We bought six Scoop side chairs with the table and they are a perfect match with the table! I'm sure we will enjoy this table for years to come and entertain many guests around it."
