Graphite Grey Indeed!
"I purchased the Hennessy chair on the website sight unseen. I looked at a number of chairs including custom from a number of different manufacturers. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived the lines are clean the the graphite grey truly rich."

Please don't buy
"Please do not buy this couch! It looks great BUT, just no. It is very uncomfortable. We bought and used this couch for our family lounge area, and the seat cushions not firm at all. When we first bought the couch, it would take a while (a Friday night watching a movie), but it would feel like you were sitting on the beam under the cushion. Now, after having the couch for about 1.5 years, it immediately feels that way. Plus the cushions now never fluff back up - they just look flat."

Great so far
"We bought this sofa in the graphite color a few months ago because we loved its simple design and sturdy feel. It has firm cushions and a firm back, which we liked.
We were hesitant after seeing many reviews online from customers who said they bought this sofa and had problems with the cushions getting deformed, etc. We asked a few different salespeople at our local store about the reviews and what they would do if we experienced the same thing. They said this style of sofa (Hennessy) has been around for many years, so it's possible things about the construction of the sofa and cushions have changed over time. Most of the bad reviews we saw were in 2009 or 2010, so this made sense. The salespeople were super nice and let us know that if anything was to go wrong or we were not satisfied, they would absolutely make it right. Obviously there's no guarantee that they'd let us return it or pay for new cushions, etc., but we felt very confident buying the sofa that they would keep their word. Crate & Barrel customer service seems to have an awesome reputation, and we decided to trust the salespeople we worked with.
It remains to be seen how the sofa and cushions hold up over the next months/years, but so far we love the sofa and have no complaints!"

Disappointed and Stuck
"As a regular customer, can't say how diappointed we have been with this sofa purchase. Ordered in the straw nubby chenille, which seemed fairly stiff in store. Purchased two years back. Immediately noted the cushions sagged and puckered, in spite of limited seating as its in a living room. Went to store and they replaced inserts. However, the fabric has worn very badly. Pulls come up and highly warn in arm areas. Can't have them replace at this point, so we're stuck with this piece. Went to store and they suggested buying another. Would be nice if they at least admitted the issue, offered a discount on a new one, or discontinued this fabric. Bummed as the shape of sofa is great. Do NOT recommend."

Avoid this couch!
"We bought this sofa because it was beautiful in the store, and because the dimensions fit our tiny condo living room. We regret the purchase immensely. After just a few weeks the cushions sag and don't return, the fabric is creased in all the wrong places, and in general it looks like a sofa we've owned for years and need to replace. Really - keep shopping because you don't want this sofa."

Regretful
"We purchased this sofa just two years ago - in a nutschell IT DID NOT AGE WELL. Maybe it has to do with just having two cushions - they sag terribly and the filling seems to be disappearing giving these cushions a look of lose and wrinkled material.
We are just two adults using it and this has never happened to us before - normally we keep a sofa between 7 to 10 years but this one looks as if it should be replaced SOON!! BTW we also purchased a matching chair that we not use too often but it still seems just fine."

Gorgeous Design, So-So Comfort
"You can see for yourself that the couch is beautiful. Clean. Modern lines. I purchased the brown color and I have a 4-yr old who's drips and accidents come right off the fabric. Love that. The fabric itself is nice to the touch, tough enough to look good over time. I've owned the couch for 3 full years now and it still looks ALMOST like it did in the showroom.
Here's what I don't like:
The cushions are losing their shape. This one of the least expensive C&B couches, but I didn't expect such morphing. I do flip the cushions and that seems to help, but it's still pretty obvious.

The couch is not completely comfortable. It's not a "sink into" type of couch (as another reviewer wrote, this could be seen as a benefit). I have friends with other C&B couches which do just that and wish this one was a bit more inviting.
Three people fit on the couch, but the center person is sitting uncomfortably on the "crack". This only happens when I have a lot of people over. Usually it's just me and my son.
Overall, the couch is nice. Makes my home modern. The dark color hides any dirt, which seems to wipe off easily anyway. It still looks pretty good after 3 years... just those cushions definitely look lived in. So-so on comfort. For C&B price, it's an OK buy. Not the best, but the price is right.

"I have had this sofa few years and am very pleased with it but like reviewer from Atlanta, the cushions have become very "dented" and the foam inserts need replacing. Can anyone tell me where I can get the foam inserts?"

Fantastic Color
"Wonderfully stylish, classic couch and chair! Always gets comments from visitors....Well made, wonderful colors and great texture and feel to the fabric....just what you expect from C&B!
I bought the sofa and matching chair four months ago after an extensive review of the sofas in the marketplace. The tomato red color makes for a wonderful statement and compliments the stylish clean lines. I was initially delighted....and the reason this review is not five of five stars is...
...previous web reviews gave me pause, as many reviews (now missing) commented upon the poor nature of the foam in the cushions (the foam does not stand up to girth-full people and requires frequently cushion flipping). While I was delighted with the sofa, after four months I moved to replace the internal cushion foam with more sturdy (cost $150-$200). The new foam is sturdier and matches the density of the back board. All is now right.
Love the purchase...it draws lots of comments and complements."

Nice sofa
"I bought this sofa in the grey stock color (I think its called graphite?) for my office. I wanted a tight back sofa because I thought it would hold up better over time (not get saggy). It looks nice- the grey is a tad bit darker than I thought it would be, but a great neutral. The fabric is soft enough, but not as soft as microsuede/velvet materials. My only complaint is that the seat is harder than what i remembered from the store. I did want something supportive- for my back, etc, but i recall it being a little softer at the store. I expect it should loosen up a bit over time, so this should be ok."

Nice scale
"I received this couch today. I ordered it in the graphite color and it is fabulous. I purchased this couch without sitting in it. For some reason they did not carry it in my local C&B retail show room. It is a little more firm than I had hoped for, but I am hoping that will change over time. The quality seems like it will hold up! The scale of the couch is great for my smaller family room and the style is just what I was looking for."

Great couches
"We bought two of these couches and love them! They are far more supportive than any other couches we found, but are very comfortable, not hard. We did not want something that we would sink into (need back support) or something too large, and these were a perfect fit for our needs."
