Great buy
"The rich eggplant colour caught my eye in the store. When I sat in it, I was sold. It felt firm and seemed durable. I've read the other reviews. My gut still says, "great buy". I can't wait for it to be delivered!"

Disappointing
"While we like the look of the Hennessy Sofa, the cushions seem to be a weak link. Even though turned and rotated at regular intervals, they sag and don't hold their form. Also, the down feathers leak through the upholstery on the cushions, back and arms at an alarming rate. For anyone considering the color eggplant, be advised that it shows everything - lint, fuzz, crumbs, etc. It is much higher maintenance than I imagined."

Good Value
"This sofa is simple, nicely designed, comfortable with a very nice color (as shown). The design is compatable with other styles whether modern or traditional. Our only issue is the fabric tends to attract lint. Need to have a lint brush handy. Very good value for the money"

Lacks Support
"I was so excited to order my first custom couch and was sure I made the right choice by ordering it from Crate & Barrel. I buy most everything here so I'm used to good quality and good customer service. It was so exciting to choose my own fabric and wood. Everything about this couch from the lines to the color to the size was perfect for my home and for my life. The salespeople were, of course, wonderful and it was even delivered two weeks before they thought it would be.
However, within the first few weeks the cushions started denting even when I fluffed and rotated them weekly. By the third month, it was clear that it wasn't just the cushion padding that was the issue, it was the springs underneath.
I've now had it for two years and even my dog doesn't like to sit on it anymore. Both cushions slant toward the middle. The springs are sprung. I could not be more disappointed. This is not the type of quality I've come to expect. Please don't spend your money on this couch, no matter how cute it is, you will be sorry."

Tomato Couch (Hennessy)

"We've had our Tomato couch for about 5 years and we love it. It's still as comfortable and as beautiful as when we bought it.
The color is fading some, but it still makes a huge statement in a sleek, vintage way."
