These slicks
"They're sharp and to the point. Hard workers and there's never a dull moment with these slciks around. They have a nice handle and their craftmanship shines with their ability to produce a fine product.

you get what you pay for.
"This bread knife is just 'ok'. I found that after a year it really does not perform well with crustier loaves.
If you compare this blade with the next level up Wusthof 'Classic' bread knife, the blades are cut totally opposite. I now own a Classic and LOVE it. Huge difference."

It's not all it's Wustof'd to be
"The Gourmet line is an OK product but certainly not on the level of the forged knife blades on the traditional knives. The blade is thin and too flexible (typical for stamped blades). The logo on the handle comes off in the dishwasher.......kinda cheap wouldn't you say?
The price is good and very reasonable but don't make too many comparisons to the standard line of knives or you will be disappointed."

More than bread
"We got the 8" bread knife and we use it for everything from cheese to tomatoes, as well - it's just so versatile. I'm so happy we added it to our knife drawer!"
