Beautiful Pattern
"We were redoing our bedroom in Florida and couldn't find a cover we thought was pretty. This pattern is modern and elegant. Our painter helped us pick a cream color for the walls, because going too white can make the background look dingy - but it looks great in our room."

"We received the Lucia duvet and shams off of our wedding registry as a holiday gift. We chose this duvet specifically because of the beautiful pattern and vibrant colors. We have a medium-shedding dog who is allowed on the bed, so we wanted to be able to hide dog hair easily. The duvet has been through the wash a few times already and still looks great and feels very soft. So far, we are very pleased with the duvet."

Beautiful, bright, but not of good quality
"This duvet is beautiful and spicy. I love the colors. The quality, however, is quite poor. Upon taking it out of the package, I discovered one button missing from the closure. After only having washed it once and putting my comforter back in, the edge seems ripped a bit. Way overpriced for the quality. Go else where or wait for a super sale!"

Watch quality and size
"The pattern is very pretty and the fabric is smooth and very comfortable. But I also had the problem of finding a hole - more like a large shred - in the fabric when opening the cover for the first time. This is the first time I have had a quality issue with a C&B product in 30 years, so I was pretty surprised. Returned it to the store and inspected another one while there, which was fine. Definitely recommend inspecting it in the store before purchasing it, rather than ordering it online. Also, be careful about the size. The full/queen is 92 X 96, while most standard full/queen duvet inserts are 88 X 88 or perhaps 90 x 90. Not surprisingly, C&B sells duvet inserts that fit. The down alternative duvet is pretty thin. This has the advantage or making it useful more year round, but if you prefer a puffier, fuller duvet, this is probably not for you."

Beautiful Duvet
"This duvet is very beautiful. The colors are very vibrant, even after washing a number of times. The background is not actually white, it's more of a very light beige.
The reason I gave it four stars was, as other people mentioned, the seam by the closures did come apart very easily when trying to put the duvet on. Overall though, I am very happy with the purchase."

So bright and cheery
"LOVE this duvet and its bright colors. The texture is great and its very high quality. My only issue is that I don't feel like it holds onto the duvet as well as it should, maybe one or two more ties would make the difference."

Scared to buy it!
"After reading all the reviews, I have to say that I am scared to buy this duvet. Was looking for a new duvet for my boyfriend and this fit the bill, I saw it at our local store, but after reading about the quality issues and seams ripping, it will not be worth the price. One reviewer commented "why don't they fix the problem?" and I have to agree. If you want to charge for high quality items, make a high quality product."

Terrible Quality - Fabric Rips
"We purchased this and loved the bright colors, however as my husband and I were putting the cover back on, BOTH sides ripped where the opening ends. We were very gentle and careful putting this back on, and then we noticed, there were other rips in the fabric down near the foot of the cover...we're taking it back and buying something with better quality. It hasnt even been a month since we purchased this item."

Disappointed with quality
"I honestly wish that I could glow about this product, because I absolutely loved it, but I just can not. The first Lucia duvet cover I received arrived with several wear marks, and small holes at the opening of the duvet. Crate and Barrel has amazing customer service, and with a quick phone call, a replacement was on the way. However, after opening the replacement duvet, I carefully examined the duvet before washing it, and found the quality to be lacking even with the replacement item. At the entrance of the duvet, I found where small threads were separating fairly easily, and there were several thin spots in the fabric that I did not think would tolerate wash and use well. I wish I had more confidence in the item, but for the money, I shouldn’t have to worry about the quality or longevity of the item. Unfortunately, the replacement is headed back to Crate and Barrel as of yesterday."
