Fell Apart
"I got these yesterday and put them in the dishwasher to clean before use. When I took them out of the dishwasher they completely fell apart! The stainless steel portion separated from the plastic portion on the top and bottom - so now I have 3 separate pieces. I can only imagine the mess that would occur on my counter if anyone tried to pick up the canister"

"I was very happy to find stainless canisters after searching for weeks in stores and online. Since I wanted 2 of the same size, I was thrilled that they were sold individually and at a very reasonable price. The large canister holds 5 pounds of sugar or flour perfectly! The photo was taken before they were filled."

Good for storing peas, nuts and beans
"Like others pointed out, this container is not exactly airtight. However, this container is well suited for storing kidney beans, lentils, chick peas, or nuts, which I often buy in bulk. would say it is not ideal for storing coffee beans as it probably won't prevent the coffee beans from losing aroma, keeping home-made preserves as it may leak, nor putting brown sugars as it would let some air in. The reduced price also makes this container a pretty good deal."

Rusted and Cracked
"I received one of each size of these canisters from my wedding registry. After hand washing and drying them prior to filling them, two of the canisters developed rust spots, and the stainless steel cracked in multiple places on the largest one."

"I purchased all three sizes of this canister but was very disappointed, so I returned them. They were cheap looking. The lids were plastic, not glass as I had hoped (I should have read the description more thoroughly), and the plastic was poorly molded. Also, the latch on one was bent so it wouldn't seal properly. Another lid was scratched up. Customer service make return very simple. No questions asked. However, I will be more careful about buying from C&B in the future."

DO NOT GET THESE
"I put these in the dishwasher to sanitize them before the first use and they came apart. I was extremely disappointed in this product, as they look so nice and seemed to seal well prior to washing them."

Disappointed
"Ordered 6 of the canisters (2 in each size) as they looked nice online. However, once I received them, it was apparent that the quality was rather shoddy. The steel band that holds the clip to open and close the lid moves vertically so that the lid does not keep tight. Also, the steel bottom portion of the canister can be removed easily from the rest of the body, potentially spilling all its contents. Have exchanged them for the OXO pop up canisters."

Ant Proof!
"I live in Southern Florida where ants of all sizes love to visit my kitchen. Sprays and traps help, but even the slightest sweet will bring them across the poison line.
I needed a sugar canister. (Sugar clumps miserably in the fridge) and the wonderful old antique tin I had was found full of ants one morning. These canisters don't say anything about being bug proof, but I have now tested it on my kitchen counter for a few weeks, and not one ant found in the neighborhood. I'm ecstatic. It's also very sleek, modern and attractive. I'm happy with my purchase."
