Simplicity in the Kitchen

"Remember the smell of cookies baking in the oven or the taste of a warm gooey cookie just out of the oven. This stylish cookie jar brings those memories back to all who see it. I shared this with friends at Christmas filled with candy, cookies and brownies. Add a grosgain red or green ribbon around the top, just below the lid, and off she goes. I also kept one for myself because the style and color goes with every decor. I have had several friends ask if it was an old one."

Great look

"This is a great cookie jar with a cute, yet functional design. I like the nostalgic look of it. The opening is nice and big, so even large cookies can fit inside. There are no nooks and crannies with such a straight-forward design, so cleaning is a breeze. I bought this in-store and noticed that not all the lids fit flush with the jar. Thankfully, I found one I was happy with. I suppose the irregularity is part of the aesthetic, so it's possible this wouldn't bother anyone else."

We love this cookie jar!

"I had been looking for a cookie jar that would hold a nice amount of cookies and have that "old fashioned" feel in a modern home. I came across this and couldn't be happier. It warms up my kitchen and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a cookie jar."

Awesome

"Love this cookie jar! A classic that goes with any decor! Only issue is the lid is very tight and requires you to hold the jar to remove it."

Love this!

"The look and style of this cookie jar is perfect for my kitchen. It's a great size to keep out on your counter and holds a couple dozen cookies. My husband loves having it full of fresh baked cookies! Keeps them fresh for about 5 days."

Absolutely THRILLED!!!

"I've been looking for a simple (understated, yet cute) cookie jar with a seal for years. This is the first I've found that didn't cost an arm & a leg and I LOVE the old fashioned/handmade styling!
This is definitely one of those things you're better off getting in person as each one is different. Some had a lot of imperfections in the stoneware itself and also some were not straight across the top (some lids also were wavy), resulting in a bad seal. Keep in mind... they are advertised as Hand Carved/Sculpted, so I guess this is to be expected as they are not uniformly machine-made. I picked through them to find mine that had a flush fitting lid, allowing for the seal to fit tightly. The cookies seem to keep fresh up to 3 days (guess that also depends on how often you open the lid & allow more air flow?), which is similar to a zip lock bag for me."

Home made Cookie Jar

"I wasn't sure if this was really what I was looking for when I wanted a cookie jar but I ordered it and love it. Some comments stated that the lid did not fit tightly but I find that it does. I really do like it. My only problem is keeping it filled with my home made cookies!"

Perfect Cookie Jar

"This smaller version of Americana cookie jars is perfectfor today's diet-conscious families. Holds a package of Oreos or Chips A Hoy, but not enough cookies to widen the waistline. It is lovely sitting on the kitchen counter and I ordered 4 for Christmas, including one for myself. Fill it, then tie a red ribbon on and you are set to go. If I need more gifts, I will definitely consider purchasing more."

Cute as the picture

"I read the dimensions, but it still looks a little larger than I'd anticipated. I was glad that it looked at least big enough to hold a batch of cookies. I paired this with a Christmas cookbook for a December birthday gift.
Cute. I'd like to keep it for myself.
