Atlas 150 Chrome Pasta Maker

"My pasta-loving daughters and I had never made fresh pasta before, but the pasta we made together with the Atlas 150 turned out great! It may take two sets of hands to handle the rolling out process, but that's OK: all the better to get the kids and grandkids involved with cooking.
The machine is also very wipe clean with a dry cloth."

Pasta made easy

"After viewing several pasta machines and reading many reviews from several sites, I chose this machine. This was my first adventure in making my own fresh pasta. This pasta machine made rolling and cutting pasta simple and easy. The first time I made it I made a sauce with shrimp, vegetable broth, cream, garlic, olive oil, shallots, mushrooms, tarragon, basil, sat and pepper. The fresh pasta was extraordinary. I will never use ready made again. You will feel the same once you make your own."

Must have for pasta lovers

"I purchased this after returning from a cooking class in Italy where we had made fresh pasta with a rolling pin. Using this pasta roller is so much easier and faster and makes fresh pasta on weeknights a possibilty. My husband, who normally stays out of the kitchen, loves to help me roll out the pasta."

Never thought I'd...

"I never thought I'd make my own pasta -- who has the time? But when you get married in your 40s and have EVERYTHING you need, you register for pasta makers. And when you get them? Oh. So. Much. Fun! Time consuming? Yes, but worth every minute. I'm not much of a baker but this little machine makes it really easy to handle the dough and create long noodles or sheets of dough to cut into ravioli. In fact...we hadn't decided what to have for dinner tonight. I think I'll get this out!"

Love it!

"I recently purchased the Atlas Chrome Pasta maker, and I love it!. It was very easy to assemble and use without much guidance from the instructions! The only downside to the pasta maker is that it is definitely a two person job, especially as you get down to your thinnest setting. One person must feed the dough, the other must catch it as it comes through. It just turns pasta making into a family affair. Fresh pasta is so delicious from this awesome machine...I could never go back!
Don't worry about cleaning up. This machine wipes down beautifully. Just send a piece of sandwich bread through the machine to get the dough left behind and wipe with a damp rag!"

Great little extra to add to your basics!

"My husband and I recently experimented with making homemade papardelle (which is FANTASTICALLY easy and so worth it!) but found rolling out the dough thin enough to be a challenge. We've been thinking about a pasta maker, and Crate and Barrel came to the rescue with this one. It's so easy to use (make the dough and be sure to let it rest) and then run it through the pasta maker as instructed. Just make sure your dough is dry enough that it doesn't stick to your hands or else you'll also have a sticky mess in the pasta maker and you can't wash it in water (this isn't a big deal if your dough is the right consistency-the pasta maker stays pretty clean and you can just brush off any flour or dough with a stiff brush). If you do make end up with sticky dough in the pasta maker, just add flour to your dough and run it through the pasta maker a few times so it picks up all of the sticky dough.
Good luck and enjoy!"
