Good Design, Poor Execution
"We purchased the 32 x76 and 20 x 76 Payton Ebony bookcases for a stairway in our loft. We like their design, they are very easy to assemble and they are only 12" deep (which is hard to find). BUT......
The quality of the units we received was poor. The tolerances of the way the wood was cut are so large that if you look closely at the two of them the side to top fit doesn't match bewteen units. Even worse, however, is that there was something defective about the paint used on the back panels. It had not dried correctly and as a result it was still sticky causing the styrofoam packing material to adhere to it. This ruined the finish on that side of the panels."
