works and looks nice
"It does the job without any fancy vacuum parts. It's a little hard to pull up the airtight seal, but it keeps the coffee fresh. If you have arthritic hands, this would not be a good product for you since it is a bit hard to pull out. Looks great, keeps coffee fresh, and I'm buying a second one for decaf."

Good for brown sugar too!
"I have a few of these. They work great for coffee, but I love them for brown sugar too! First container I've had that is actually air tight and keeps brown sugar from hardening."

"Although it can be a little messy with ground coffee, it really helps keep it fresh. I like to switch between two types of coffee so I bought a second one. I'll deal with a little inconvenience for better tasting coffee."

Best for Coffee Beans
"I am so happy I purchased this container - actually 2 containers, 1 for decaf. and 1 for regular. I love good coffee and would often have to throw away the beans after a few weeks due to deteriorating taste and smell. These containers keep the beans as fresh as the day I bought them. Since they are so effective at expelling the air as you push down on the lid, I can imagine what a mess they might make of ground coffee but for storing beans they are wonderful!"

Missing a piece?
"This looks like it's going to seal really well, much better than my old canister. It's also nice looking, but the clear plastic top confuses me a bit. In the picture there's a small circle in the top of the plastic lid - it looks to me like it should be covered with a cap or something, but it's not (at least on mine) and there's a lot of jagged plastic pieces sticking up that are sharp. Since it'll be out of reach of my children it's fine, but I'll probably glue a knob or something on top to cover them. Perhaps there was a cap that popped out during shipping. I think the clear top is decorative so this shouldn't affect function.
Besides the odd top, it's pretty easy to use and I like that there aren't any plastic latches to snap off (which is what broke on my last one).
Also, the description says hand wash but the stickers on the canister say top-rack dishwasher safe. Woo!"

"I bought this due to all the great reviews. I havn't noticed any improved taste in my coffee. My complaint is that every time I push the seal down I get a poof of espresso all over my counter. It doesn't matter how gently I do this; every morning I have a mess. I would not reccommend this product."

Fresh Coffee Everyday
"I have noticed that my coffee has tasted a lot better on a regular basis, then it ever had before. It must be because the coffee canister works so well. Great Purchase
"When I went into the store to take a look at this coffee canister I felt it was too thin and wouldn't be able to store much. But decided to purchase it anyway to test it out..It turned out to be sturdy and it stored all of my coffee due to the lid press. It kept my coffee fresh and it looks nice next to my coffee maker w/o taking up too much space on my counter top"

keeps coffee fresh
"I like the canister very much. The easy to push down vacuum seal keeps ground coffee or whole beans fresh. Only criticism is that after the peel off label is removed, a stain remains. I keep my canister in a cupboard but it would bother me if I kept it out on a countertop. Otherwise, I'd have rated it 5 stars."
