Solid furniture
"The dresser looks gorgeous and appears very solidly made. The color is quite dark so I appreciate the brightness of my bedroom making the Asher pieces appear brown and not black. It's not at all clear to me why another reviewer says it has a "cheap" veneer. Nothing about this dresser says cheap. If you're careless enough to put wet clothes on expensive wood, go buy some "cheap" Swedish furniture instead."

Very cheap veneer finish
"The surface of this dresser is made of a very cheap veneer. (for those of you who don't know, veneer is a photograph of wood pasted on top of particle board).
I laid a pair of cotton sox and a cotton t-short on top of the dresser maybe 10 min after I got them out of the dryer. I left them there overnight because i am a slob. I cam back the next day and notice that the veneer under the sox and t-shirt was now discolored."

modern, low height dresser
"Dresser was just as described online. We were not able to see this in the store first and were nervous about the purchase. However, it arrived on time; delivery people were very courteous. Height and proportions of the dresser are just right for our contemporary bedroom. Accomodates a large flat screen tv without interfering with the shelving above. Self-closing drawers are great. Corners of handles are sharp."
