Smoothie Blender
"This is a great little machine for the price. Makes wonderful frozen fruit smoothies. It does have a smell to the motor when running on high, but I guess that goes with the territory. I would recommend this machine in a heart beat."

The most powerful blender at a great price
"I was hesitant if this would be powerful enough then my regular hamilton beach blender and so happy I purchased this. I love green smoothies so involves many green leafy vegetables. This blender gets the job done!!!! Pulsing it as the directions indicate makes a big difference. I do this four times before blending it on high, and really chops up the kale perfectly. Another feature I love is the chopping blade as turns the flax seed into powder in seconds. All the removable parts cleans up very easy. Love this machine!"

Love, Love, Love this blender!
"I purchased this blender for several reasons and it 100% fits the bill on all counts! Appearance: Wanted something clean looking (can't find the white option anywhere but at Crate & Barrel, that I know of, and I love it!), small enough not to over power or take up too much counter space - check! Something easy to use with minimal clean up to deal with after each use which in the end encourages its use - double check! The convenience of a single serve feature plus the ability to make a double batch when needed - check plus bonus with the smaller herb and such option! All these perks plus user friendly and a product that delivers on it's functionality promise - check! My whole family which includes two teenagers love this machine and actually put it to work several times a week. The multiple large lidded cups make quick fix and go a breeze! My son is a smoothie/milkshake expert by now and uses the blender almost every day. There isn't one negative feature as far as we are concerned. Perfect for a busy family always on the go! I consider this the smartest kitchen gadget we own!!! Thanks Cuisinart and Crate & Barrell!! Oh, I never write reviews but this product deserves one!"

I would buy another one in a heartbeat
"I purchased this blender so my boyfriend and I could each make protein shakes and smoothies. When I opened the box, I was surprised about the small chopper the blender came with! Along with making awesome frothy shakes and smoothies, I've ground oatmeal for pancakes and mixed salad dressings. The blender has been able to handle ice and frozen fruit without trouble. I've put everything except the base in the dishwasher, and I've used one of the individual cups for a coffee to-go cup. It's not very expensive, and you get a lot for your money."

Easy and Efficient!!
"This little guy is super powerful - it crushes ice with ease and smoothly blends to create delicious smoothies and shakes! The plastic containers come with sip-friendly lids to grab and go, and cleanup is a breeze. I definitely recommend it!!
The motor does make a slight burning-smell, but this hasn't effected the productivity of the blender and I've had it for over a year."

Great for on the go!
"I already have a great blender, but this compact blender is nice for when I'm in a hurry or just need to blend something small.
I make a smoothie every morning to eat (drink?) on my way to work. I don't have to spend time doing the dishes and just take the cup that it was blended in with me.
There's also a smaller cup that I use for chopping garlic, making fresh basil pesto and for making my own whole wheat bread crumbs for meatloaf, burgers, etc.
The unit is easy to use, easy to clean and doesn't take too much space."

Very convenient
"I recently bought this blender for morning smoothies. My husband loves it as he can make his own smoothies and carry it with him to work. The blender does give off a burned rubber smell when it is working hard which is why I took one star off. It would be better if the rubber does not heat up that badly. However, overall the blender does a good job and for the price, I didn't expect it to be a vitamix or anything like that. It was chosen for the convenience factor of blending in the cup we can carry out with."

The best compact blender for travel
"I love this devise! I travels the world with it. I am a former pro athlete and a vegan and so I cook and prep my food when I travel 5 months out of the year!
I have 2 other blenders at home, the health master and a regular blender plus I used to have a magic Bullit, who got smashed in my suitcase when I traveled to South America. I recommend this blender to beginners and people who travel, it's inexpensive and practical!!

Good for a week...
"Bought this product, and I was thrilled with it for the WEEK it worked. Used it 4-5 times for smoothies (fruit, juice, yogurt). Filled the blender with the ingredients tonight, and the lights for power and the buttons came on, but nothing else happened (and yes, I hit "reset" on the wall outlet and switched outlets to try again).
Then, I called Cuisinart to see what they could do for me. They told me I can return it to the store (not one C&B within 1.5 hours of me, and the box went out with the recycling) or I can pay to ship the defective product to New Jersey, and don't forget to include $10 because Cuisinart will not pay to ship back the fixed product. Wow, thanks for all the "help."
I am so disappointed in a brand that I trusted and their lack of customer service. Keep using your "old-fashioned" blenders, folks."

Great while it lasted
"I LOVED this blender...for the year it lasted. I used it 3-5 times a week for a breakfast smoothie. Nothing too crazy in them...protein powder, yogurt, frozen fruit. No ice since the fruit was already frozen. Yet the motor started to burn out around 10 months and quit completely right around the 1 year mark. Pretty disappointing considering it was hardly overworked. I wouldn't recommend it. It did make super-smooth smoothies while it lasted though...thus the 2 stars."

"Great smoothie maker. The travel mugs are very handy. We haven't used it for anything except for smoothies so I don't know how it works on other things, but it chops giant frozen strawberries with ease. My 9 year old has no trouble using it own her own in the morning. It does give off a slight electrical smell when on high, but it's not that bad."

Perfect for teen daughter
"Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 16 year old daughter who loves smoothies - especially as a substitution for breakfast. It works amazing well and is fits our needs perfectly. No more blender clean up left behind in the morning - blend and drink from the same cup. Works exceptionally well with frozen or fresh ingredients. Extremely happy with this purchase!"

"I primarily purchased this system to make smoothies, but also works great on other small tasks too. So much more convenient and easier to clean than getting my large blender out every time. I was concerned it wouldn't have the power to (truly) crush ice time and again, but I'm amazed at its power. Great investment!"

Love it
"I love this blender! I make smoothies at least a few days a week with frozen and fresh fruit, ice, and yogurt or milk, and this Cuisinart blends everything wonderfully and chops ice really well. I love that I can blend everything in a to-go cup too--very convenient. The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is that every now and then I feel like the blade (when attached to one of the cups) doesn't attach/lock easily to the base and I have to fidget with it. Overall, I definitely recommend this blender."
