Customer Reviews for Lima Alpaca Mandarin Throw

Lima Alpaca Mandarin Throw

Indulge in the warmth and luxury of premium baby alpaca wool. Handwoven by skilled Peruvian artisans, baby alpaca (named for the first shearing) is known for being softer and warmer than the finest lambswool. The fiber also absorbs color beautifully and is less likely to pill than wool. Finished with finely spun 4 1/2 fringe. -100% baby alpaca -Dry clean -Made in Peru

luxurious Alpaca Throw

"I was looking to buy my daughter a throw for her apartment in Chicago, to replace cashmere one I bought her last her. Cashmere, these days is so iffy, the put all different fibers in them and call it pure cashmere. So when I saw the one made of Alpaca at Crate and Barrel, I knew I had a winner. Alpaca being softer, silkier, warmer and stronger than any cashmer. I struck a gold mine. and, the color, is exquisite, the mandardin orange is really beautiful and will go with most neutral decor. I'm just waiting for someone to buy me the blue one."

Quality throw

"I decided to splurge and order this throw. While it was extremely soft & looked high end, I ended up returning it. The mandarin color was beautiful but just didn't match my decor. Wish it would have!"

So soft and snuggly Alpaca

"I have bought three of these the colors are so rich and bright, the Alpaca is of the highest quality not itchy more of a cashmere type of feel, and the warmth is amazing you could sit outside on a snowy day and if you have your Alpaca throw you will be warm and dry as the Alpaca naturally is water repellent and does not soak it all in like wool.
Definitely recommended!

Great throw!

"I bought two of these throws for my living room, and I love them. They're very soft and luxurious, and the color is beautiful, but I have one caveat: the two I purchased are apparently from different dye lots, and although close, they're not the same color. So if you're buying more than one, be sure to compare them side by side in good light before you make your purchase."
