District Sideboard
Acid-washed galvanized iron sheet-arranged plank-style complete with breadboard ends and hand-hammering down the seams with mini nails-tops a solid shesham wood cabinet buffed and hand-antiqued to a rich patina. Warm industrial mix adds instant character and storage to all districts of the home, from kitchen or dining room to family room or office. Open lower shelf spanning the entire width and three tempered-glass doors with clean iron pulls provide display and storage. One adjustable shelf behind single door. Cord cutouts and glass panes for remote control access make it media-friendly. Due to the handcrafted nature, each piece is unique. -Galvanized iron sheet top with acid-washed tinted lacquer finish over low-emission engineered wood -Solid shesham wood base with hand-antiqued lacquered finish -Varying nailhead placement -Three glass-paned doors with iron pulls -One adjustable shelf -Cord management cutouts -Made in India

Wow!
"Got delivery this AM and set it up as an entertainment center with Tivos and DVD on the open shelving, and 2 large Sedona baskets behind the double doors (tight fit but works) and one low open Sedona tote on the open shelving with the Tivos, handle side out. DVDs are behind the single door. There isn’t enough vertical room for two rows of DVDs so I use the shelf for some flat-lying books.
The Sedona totes are such high quality and really make the unit pop. I almost didn't buy the unit because of the lack of a shelf behind the double doors. For this price I think there should have been a shelf option! Glad I did though – the unit (if overpriced) is really handsome.
As for what my style is? – a mix of classic and contemporary would be most accurate ... with a few traditional (antiques) thrown in. Er - maybe that would be eclectic, but it all works! This piece is a most excellent bridge between styles."

Elegance in a studio apt
"The District Sideboard is an excellent multifunctional piece in my studio. It is serving as a media station as well as a storage/display unit for my glasses and china.The piece is constructed well and the unique combination of wood and metal lends to it's elegance and charm. Love it...but took a while to receive
"We loved this sideboard when we saw it at the store! We plan on using it for a media storage console. Unfortunately...we are still waiting for our district sideboard to come in. The first one they delivered had crooked handles on the storage doors, so we're waiting on a replacement :/
Otherwise looks great! Love the top board!"

Solid purchase
"I purchased the district sideboard online after researching online and seeing it in person in the store. I am using it currently as a media console. I love the storage cabinets at the bottom, which are perfect for DVDs, etc. The product is well built and a very nice addition to my living room. The wood color is a great transitional shade that goes with my other dark wood furniture and light wood floors. Love the metal top!
I gave it four stars because I think it is a little overpriced. Also I had issues with the delivery service."

Takes the cookie cutter out
"We love the look this sideboard brings to make our kitchen less boring. We bought it for our kitchen to add some character against our plain cabinets and it certainly delivers.
We received our first one which reeked of fuel/oil. Apparently there is a finish that needs to be throughly wiped off prior to delivery and our sideboard wasn't. When we learned this we wiped it off but the strong garagelike smell never went away. Crate and Barrel was great about replacing the first sideboard and we could not be more pleased with the second."

Beautiful!
"We bought this sideboard because of the metal top. Our kitchen and dinning room is pretty cozy looking but the metal really breaks it up and adds texture. The color of the wood is very unique and makes a lovely statement. We bought the Turner Counter Barstools for the kitchen island and everything is pulled in very nicely. Sturdy. Highly recommend it!"

As sturdy as it is beautiful
"Having carried this sideboard into my house with the help of a friend, I can tell you that this is one sturdy piece of furniture. But its heft is matched by its beauty. The weathered look of both the metal top and the wood works perfectly in my neutral-toned dining room. The all-glass doors show off my dishes. And the little tuck-under shelf below the top is the perfect place to store bottles of wine. I looked at lots of sideboards/buffets, some at twice the price. But for the style and value, this was the real winner."
