Blake Grey Wash 68 Media Console
An unexpected mix of materials and textures adds a primitive/modern touch of the tropics to our Blake media console. Antiqued brass pulls accent the soft grey finish of the plantation-grown teak, which is supported by the TFT, a nonprofit organization that promotes responsible forest conservation. Remote controls operate easily through the rattan panels on its four doors, which open to three adjustable shelves. Console can also serve as dining buffet or general storage. Cord cutouts and a sliding panel provide wire management. Blake home office collection also available. -Solid teak and teak veneer harvested from plantations working with the TFT and low-emission engineered wood -Rattan square mesh door panels -Grey paint wash with protective lacquer topcoat -Antiqued brass hardware -Made in Indonesia

Functional & Attractive Console
"We took over a year to decide to pull the trigger on this console. It arrived last week and we are very happy with our decision. The unit is well-built and sturdy. It will last for a long time to come. There is a lot of space for our electronics and the openings at the back are well placed. We love the overall look of the piece and the light colour of the wood is perfect for lightening up our basement (although we agree with others that it is less grey than it appears in the online pictures). The only thing that we would note for other C&B shoppers is that the unit is higher than the average console. That was exactly what we were looking for in order to fit with our other pieces, but it may not work for everyone."

Love it
"I had eyed this media stand for a while and absolutely love it! My only improvement would be that I typically have to open the cabinet doors for the remote to connect with the cable box (which I keep inside)....but it's certainly not a major complaint. Overall, very happy."

Great console
"I love my new media console. The great thing is, it holds a lot but still has a 'minimal' look about it because it has legs and is 'off' the floor. This gives it an airy look and the cane gives it a tropical feel. I also like the color. It has blue grey overtones but still is a medium brown appearance so it can coordinate with other furniture."

Best media cabinet
"This piece is amazing, the color is accurate to what you see online and what I saw in our local store.more of a tan taeak than a grey teak. The grey is just a wash that settles in the veins of the wood. The very faint smell of the teak is refreshing. I am thrilled to not have to see components as they hide behind the doors wth mesh fronts, and yes, the remotes work fine with the doors closed. It is a substantial piece but retains an airy quality that works with a variety of styles. It looks best with a moderate sized flat screen TV. One of the C&B website shots shows it with a 52" or so TV which looks out of scale. I added a lamp to one side similar to another of the installation shots which balances out the lighting in the room and reduces eye fatigue."

Took A Long Time Deciding
"My media cabinet search lasted many months. Because the builder located the HVAC vent on the floor near the TV outlet, the cabinet had to have legs. And due to the leg and overall height, the cabinet needs to be secured to wall to insure against tipping. My 55" LED TV is perfectly scaled to the media unit although I would have liked to have gone bigger. My only complaint is the hole placement and number of holes to position the adjustable shelves inside. I may drill more holes if my needs change."

Nice! Not Grey!
"This media cabinet has a great transitional look. Can blend with other types of decor. Not heavy and dark! Somewhat modern but not so modern that it looks stark. The grain of the finish and the rattan fronts on the doors give it a warm vibe. Please note - if you are wondering what the finish is like, go see it in person. The online pics do not do it justice. The description describes it as having a 'grey wash' however that's misleading. This piece is not grey in nature. It's simple, very functional and interesting all at the same time. Just bought the console table for behind our sofa to coordinate with it as well - was told the console table was being discontinued so wanted to get it while it was available."

Great Console
"This console has it all. Lots of storage and the remote works through the screen doors so that you can keep the doors shut (and hide all your stuff) while watching t.v. The console is well-made and I love the neutral colors because it blends in very well with the rest of my furniture and doesn't overwhelm the room as do lots of other consoles/media cabinets."

"We love this media console. It looks fantastic in our living room, casual and versatile. We will surely have this piece for years to come. We did have to switch out our remote to a universal radio frequency model, though, because our standard one would not consistently work through the rattan front. I agree with the other reviewer in that the color is not as "grey" as I expected. We love it though!"

Beautiful, but not perfect
"We purchased this for cable box, blueray player and the preamp, we would have preferred to have center channel stored as well, we used a standard preamp, but need to have bigger cutout made in cabinet as it is not deep enough. The cabinet is just what we wanted but it need to be 2" deeper"

Nice unit, color off
"This is a very nice unit, well made and generally met all our expectations. We do have a couple of criticisms. First, the color of the finish is much more orange than what we saw in the store. The "gray wash" is pretty minimal. We were hoping for a more neutral wood color. Second, despite the rattan door fronts, there is not enough air circulation for some of our components to use them with the doors closed. This is mainly a problem for the PlayStation unit. The fan has to run full blast and is very loud if we close the doors. We are considering drilling ventilation holes in the back panel, but for now we just open the doors."

"This media console is just the right size for our 55" flat screen TV. It is beautiful and unusual....perfect for our eclectic style of furnishings! And, the extra storage shelves allow us plenty of room for DVD's, CD's and photo albums. It's nice to have everything hidden from view, and still have the remote controls do their thing :)"

Love My New Media Console!
"The Blake Grey Wash Media Console turned out to be the best purchase I have made for my family room. Its simple lines make it a versatile piece to work with many different syles of decor. I love the doors. The rattan adds some texture while still allowing us to easily use our remote to control the TV components inside. I looked at several other options for this space at other stores and this proved to be the best value for my dollar. I would recommend this console for sure!"

Great Quality
"I saw this media console online and liked it but was anxious to see it in person. So I went to the closest Crate & Barrel to take a look. I loved it right away! Perfect for our master bedroom -- not too formal and ideal coloring for our light bedroom furniture. This cabinet is high quality -- the doors open & close solidly & the cabinet is sturdy. Love, love, love it!"
