This mythical 2008 pattern designed by Sanna Annukka is laced with Finnish folklore. The print depicts a scene from the Kalevala, a Finnish folkloric epic, in which animals of the forest have gathered to listen to the kantele (a string instrument) as it is played by Vainamoinen, one of the central figures in Finnish folklore. The Kanteleen Kutsu (kantele call) print is just one of a series depicting other scenes from the Kalevala. ""It is a nice cushion to toss with other ones on the sofa. I also ordered another Marimekko one with different print (Joonas) and was quite disappointed when discovered that the white tone was of a different shade for each item. This print version of white is very bright bleach white color tone, the other one had off-white tone which means you can not display these two together. Fabric is of a good quality and it hold shape nicely.""

High contrast attention getter
"After redecorating my living room in a palette of natural hues - greens, earthy tones, etc., I needed a high contrast accent to break up all of the neutrals. I was looking for some ikat but found this beauty and knew it would do just what I needed it to, while also being unique and not too trendy. Frankly, it's a work of art. And two play beautifully together as they're each slightly different do to the breadth of imagery on this fabric. These are not pillows to cozy up with but you can most certainly use them for support and they stand up very well to that use. Sturdy and elegant. These will be with us for a very long time."

Love at first sight
"There is something about this pattern I find mesmerizing, it is both primal and contemporary at the same time. I have seen it by the yard and on an ottoman at the SoHo store, but I think it is best suited for the pillows. I ordered two for my bedroom, and although they were somewhat expensive, I am very pleased to have them."

Cool, graphic pillow!
"I simply love this Marimekko pillow! I saw it a few months ago in the catalog and wanted to buy it, so when a "free shipping" offer came up, I ordered it (along with another pillow) right away! It definitely exceeded my expectations. The design is just exquisite!"
