Marimekko Joonas 20 Pillow
Maija Isola contributed more than 500 patterns to Marimekko over the span of her career, with the Joonas (Jonah) series being one of her first successes in 1961. Inspired by the sight of sun dancing on the surface of the Mediterranean Sea, Joonas is named after the story of Jonah and the whale. Feeling that sitting inhibited her artistic expression, Maija composed Joonas to the sounds of pop music using wide black brushstrokes while standing over large rolls of paper in the spacious Marimekko factory. "It is a nice cushion to toss with other ones on the sofa. I also ordered another Marimekko one with different print (Kanteleen Kutsu) and was quite disappointed when discovered that the white tone was of a different shade for each item. This print version of white is not white, it is OFF-WHITE which means you can not display these two together. However it work well with my other black and off-white cushions. Fabric is of a good quality and it hold shape nicely."

Great Graphic Design Pillow

"I love these pillows. I searched the internet for many hours looking for the perfect accent pillows. I ordered several from many websites but returned all of them except for these Joonas pillows.
The white part of the pillow is pretty close to real white but it is not as bright as paper white. I have a white painted kitchen in an open concept floorplan right next to the living room, and to me, the white of the pillow is white enough, and doesn't bother me that it is not as white as a sheet of paper. Just mentioning this for those who may be wondering.
The fabric is a somewhat stiff canvas type of feel, which I like because it holds its shape nicely. I find that it has a high quality appearance and is supportive when you lean on it. It's not a soft fabric against your face, but I am not planning on sleeping on it, so no worries there.
The down/feather insert works well. You can fluff the pillow easily, and karate chop it and it holds the chop shape, if you like that effect.
I have a taupe fabric sectional sofa with 3 of these pillows and 3 solid/textured black pillows. They really pop and create the perfect classy and upscale accent in my living room. See picture below. I highly recommend these pillows."

Great Pillow
"I just ordered this pillow, and I've had it for about two weeks. I love it, and I've already gotten several comments on it. The contrast between the black and white is great, and the abstract design works well with my decor. The pillow insert is firm and provides a comfortable addition to my couch."

Best Pillows Ever
"These pillows are fantastic. Not only the high contrast B&W design looks amazing with pretty much any other color of pillow you combine them with, but the fabric all cotton of the best quality. I've had these pillows for years and I have a son who plays videogames and snack in the living room with his buddies and all I have to do is remove the cases and throw them in the washer. What I love the most is that the fabric looks brand new wash after wash without fading or piling. And the pillow inserts are filled with goose down and feathers and so far are still super-comfortable and fluffy. After more than 2 years, I'm still in love!"
