Horribly Disappointing
"I ordered this knife set after my wedding and was very excited to finally have a complete "quality" knife set on a budget. Unfortunately I received the set with one knife that was already rusting. I called Crate & Barrel and they sent me a replacement. It took about a week for all of the knives and the scissors started rusting. It was horribly disappointing. I returned the set. The upside, Crate & Barrel was really great about it and issued a full refund."

The Best Quality?
"My husband and I finally bought this set after talking about it for about a year and we love it! The knives cut wonderfully! However, the tip of one of the paring knives broke off and some of the other knives have brown spots on them that looks like rust. We have never put them in the dishwasher and always dry them as soon as we are done with them. We bought this brand because we were under the impression they would last forever, after 6 months of use I'm starting to question that impression."

"This knife set is a great buy. Knives are one thing you cannot cut corners with (pun intended). If you buy a cheap set, you will regret it a month later when you need to sharpen your knives to slice a banana. Get these; you won't regret it."

Disappointment...
"I will admit right off that I never took all of the knives out of the packaging to use them.... I am terribly disappointed that the emblem on the handle is just a STICKER! The handles are extremely light and cheap feeling... I hardly ever return items but I am returning these."

"My husband and I registered for this set of knives in our registry and found them to be incredibly useful in our kitchen. While they are pricey, the chef and santoku knives are amazing for everyday chopping and slicing. The block is small and easy to fit on any countertop with limited counter space. "Not sure how I managed to cook without this knif set. It is worth the investment. The time I save using a quality knife makes it worth every penny. The wood block takes up very little room on the counter which helps if you are limited to space."
