Envisioned as a series of narratives, Maija Louekari's 2009 Siirtolapuutarha (allotment) tells a story of growth in a tableau of mix and match tableware. Depicted through graphic line drawings, Siirtolapuutarha blooms larger than life, transporting nature's beauty to the heart of an urban metropolis. The series captures the artist's fascination with the flower and vegetable beds allotted to city dwellers in Finland. In this rendition, a labyrinth of artfully drawn buildings stretches skyward to create a geometric cityscape. Love Love Love
"I'm obsessed with the Marimekko section at C&B. I bought two of these mugs for my cousins overseas who are not aware of the brand and they flipped over the design. It's also a perfect size for me. Not too big, like most coffee mugs I find."

Unique Cup
"Everyone wants at least one Marimekko cup to enrich your tea/coffee time right? And I felt this one is the one for me.
I like the most popular Unikko design, but I wanted something more special and unique. I love houses and buildings, this cup grabbed my heart as soon as I saw this. Love the simple black and white with the one little orange sun.

The actual cup looks exactly the same as photos posted on website. The cup is slightly narrower than regular american sized mugs, but I don't see how it'll be a problem to anyone.
Good size, good design. I love this mug!"

Delightfully whimsical
"These mugs are quite solid, and not too large. The illustration is very fascinating to gaze upon while drinking and the orange sun is a great touch. Crate & Barrel shipped the items in massively protective padding from New Jersey to Oregon (where I live) and they were pristine upon arrival.
The mug is about the size of a standard coffee/tea cup, fitting about 8 oz. of liquid. If you're looking for a larger sized mug, you may want something else...but they are so pretty, why would you?"
