Horrible smell
"I purchased the chest of drawers and two night stands. The smell was so overwhelming that it gave me a headache. I removed all drawers and moved all items to a back room. A week later no improvement. I am having them replaced and hope that the new ones will be better. If not, back they go.
My sister and I assembled them. I would have liked all parts identified by a A,B,C system like many other companies do. Also, it is a real hassle getting rid of all the boxes and filler materials.
Sorry Crate and Barrel. This has not been a good experience for me."

Great Quality for the price
"After shopping in 8 furniture stores and combing the web with no luck, I found the Brighton nightstands on the web. They were exactly as described and perfect for my bedroom. Excellent quality and easy to assemble. They are heavy so you will need someone to help who is strong to move them in the carton and move them once you have assembled them. A Phillips head screwdriver is all you need to assemble them....a short one is needed to get the bolts in the top portion screwed in. They look great!"

Easy and quick!
"I bought 2 of these to go with my chest of drawers. I love the additional 2 shelves. I have no assembly experience and had the first one together in about 40 minutes and the 2nd in about 30 mins. They are of high quality and well built."

"I am very happy with this bed. It is well made and solidly constructed. It will outlast my daughter for sure. It is beautifully finished in white lacquer and goes well with most any decor. I was able to assemble it in about 45 minutes with a little assistance from my daughter. Easy to assemble with a minimum of screws and bolts."

"We bought the queen size bed for my daughter & then decided to get the nightstand to match. Very nice set! I was a little bummed that between the time I decided to buy the nightstand & the time I actually purchased it, the price increased by $50! That's quite a jump! Had I known it was going to go up that much, I would have bought it sooner..."

Really Nice
"I have to say that this nightstand was a major upgrade from what I was using before. It really looks beautiful in the bedroom where we're doing kind of a Cape Cod/slightly modern/slightly vintage look.
At the same time, the smell everyone talked about is indeed there. But, I just aired out the parts for a few hours in a separate room before putting the pieces together so the smell is now gone. The other down side is that I felt like, for the money, I should not have had to put anything together.
In the end, a beautiful piece that looks great and is solid."

"Installing the screws in the back of the top cannot be done with a screwdriver, because the dust tray restricts access. Assembly of the rest of the pieces can be done with a screwdriver as per the installation instructions."
