Brighton Coffee King Bed
We've modernized classic cottage styling without sacrificing an ounce of charm. Linear head- and footboard are crafted with traditional board and batten detailing and dressed in a rich coffee finish. Even the posts and finials are squared off for a fresh, clean look. Versatile bed has two setting options for the side rails: Low accommodates a mattress and foundation; high accommodates a mattress only, leaving room under the bed for storage. Trundle available for twin size bed only. Small size
"I was disappointed with this purchase. I did not grasp their size until I received them. They have a good weight and the construction seems fine but it was not what I was looking for. They are hand size, like salt and pepper shakers. I didn't like using my thumb to grind the salt and pepper. I wanted a bigger set. I sent them back."

"AWSOME- we bought the full and Queen beds and love them, It's very good quality, and nice looking and easy to put together. WE also bought the night stands and the Chifforobe and everything is of great quality. Would highly recommend."

Attractive Guest Bedroom Furniture
"We purchased the Brighton bedstead in queen-size, and the matching nightstand when we needed to convert our grown son's bedroom from my office back to his childhood bedroom. He had moved back in, and his old furniture was long gone. Eventually, it will become our guest room pieces, but for now, it's lovely. (Of course, the design details that give it that arts-and-crafts look also are dust-catchers, but I guess that goes with the territory :)...). A special shout-out to the delivery person who also put the bed together. He was efficient, neat, polite, and did a great job. My husband struggled a bit with putting together the nightstand, but eventually we re-read the directions (which could have been clearer), and got it done. We ordered a glass top from our local glass dealer to avoid any water rings, etc. We've learned from long experience that doing this avoids headaches later."

"We bought this bed for my son and he loves it! It's very good quality and nice looking. The wood is dark and matches all of the other espresso colored furniture in his bedroom. Would highly recommend!"

disappointed
"I loved this bed, night stand, and dressers in the store and online, but when I got it home and after only having it a few days, it started to ship and the paint would come off sooooo easily. I called crate and barrel and their solution was to use wax, to fix it. I have had this bedroom set about 2 years and it is so deteriorated I am about ready to replace it. This was very disappointing, I do not think I will get anymore furniture form crate and barrel because of this."

"The bed looks beautiful and the quality looks good BUT looks can be deceiving. The piece dings very easy and the dings result in white marks that look awful. Our footboard arrived with a few of those that occurred during shipping and C & B sent us a new one. I hit the new one with a remote control (not hard at all) and it scratched it and left a white mark......obviously only a tiny amount of wood covering. The bed is beautiful, but not an every day use bed."

"The bed is made with high quality wood and seems to be very sturdy/substantial. The style can go with any room decor and is simple without lacking character. We had the bed assembled during delivery, but I believe it traditionally comes unassembled."

Beautiful Bed
"Prior to purchasing this bedframe, I read all the reviews and hoped it would be as great a purchase that so many others had experienced. I was not disappointed. Excellent value
"This review is for the king-sized bed, which is beautiful, solid, doesn't squeak, and looks expensive; the style and color coordinate nicely with existing furniture (similar dark brown, and black). Have not experienced any lingering strong finish odors. Arrived in three large boxes, and assembly was straightforward - two people make the job easier (especially with king-size). We have a foam mattress with low-profile box spring, and used the lower of the two frame settings; the top of the mattress with bedding is about an inch below the top of the footboard. Typical under-bed storage boxes (hard-sided) are a tad too large to fit at this setting, but cotton fabric versions work nicely (and are better for your clothing, too)."

Beautiful, but....
"Purchased bedroom set in coffee color (Queen Bed, Bedside Table, Dresser and Desk). Love the look, it is beautiful. It is in a guest bedroom so there is very little traffic in this room. Unfortunately, the finish on the edges of the desk and dresser are coming off, so the engineered wood perhaps is delicate to say the least. I've had to take black marker to cover the light wood color of these areas. I was very disappointed in this development. A friend purchased exact same set in white and it was delivered the same day as mine, then later she bought an additional set for another bedroom and she has not mentioned this problem."

"My wife and I ordered the whole Brighton set. All I can say is that despite the many boxes it came in it was so easy to put together!! Even me the anti-handy man got it right the first time. Solid, as usual
"Bought the king-sized Brighton Coffee bed about a year ago off the website and I absolutely love it. Can't tell you how many compliments I've received over the past year from friends who see it - and get jealous. The color is beautiful (dark espresso) and I feel like the style is classic/timeless. Was incredibly easy to put together -- did it by myself -- and the quality is top notch (as usual for Crate & Barrel - at least in my experience). The construction is solid and it doesn't move/squeak, also have yet to find any scratches on the wood. Highly recommend."
