"I do love this lamp, though I think it was a bit pricey because the shade is kind of cheap looking. But the diffuser is nice as it sends the light more downward for reading. And yes the dimmer is very nice. Set down low it creates a nice glow throughout the room. And being able to put in a 100 watt bulb is perfect for reading."

"This lamp is perfect for any sitting area. It works great next to a comfy chair for reading. My husband uses it to read the paper early in the morning. The switch has a smooth transition dimmer and the shade gives the light a soft glow. Great investment!"
