"Love these placemats and runner. Only problem is slight shrinkage, so that the linen top shrinks more than the backing when washed even though washed according to instructions so they are never perfectly flat and smooth again. But still beautiful and worth the extra trouble to hand-stretch and shape them while ironing."

Much prettier in person
"This table runner is beautiful. The picture on line does not do it justice. I saw it in the store and was going to buy it but they didn't have the size I needed. I went home and ordered it on line. Delivery was quick and I put it on my table immediately. It is gorgeous. I then went out and purchased a beautiful purple clear glass big bowl to place in the middle It really makes a statement with this runner. I would highly recommend this one to everyone. I've never been disappointed with anything I've purchased from Crate&Barrel."

"This table runner is a little darker than it appears online. I was about to return it because my dining table color is elbony, but I then decided to keep it. I wish its fabric were 2 shades lighter. Then, it would look perfect on my table. Overall, I still like the embroidery and its quality."
