Customer Reviews for Marimekko Pienet Kivet Opaali Red and White Bag

Marimekko Pienet Kivet Opaali Red and White Bag

Designed in 1956, Kivet (stones) marked the beginning of the close relationship between the legendary designer Maija Isola and Marimekko. A simple yet modern pattern, originally created by cutting paper circles with scissors, Kivet has been recreated in a variety of colors since its inception in black on white. Pienet (small) Kivet is a condensed version of the original, with smaller and more frequent circles. Its simplicity makes the pattern an iconic and fundamental Marimekko print, representative both of the company's philosophy and graphic legacy. -Pattern designed by Maija & Kristina Isola; 1956/2000 -Pattern placement will vary from sample shown; each is unique -100% lightweight cotton canvas -Magnetic closure, inner pocket -Machine wash warm, air dry -Made in Estonia

Fantastic bag!

"I'm ordering this to replace the identical Marimekko bag I've been hauling around for five years - purse, diaper bag, beach bag, shopping bag, you name it. After all this time of hard use, it's finally starting to fray and look a little beat up. Not too shabby for a canvas bag. The print is classic, stylish, and surprisingly versatile."
