Hand-hewn in oversized proportions, this 104" table has the heft and character of a European farmhouse antique. The simple, rustic design has substantial legs and a hand-planed plank top with authentic peg detailing. Open grain and knots are unique to each piece. The rich honey finish is waxed to a soft sheen. Gorgeous table

"Don't be deterred by the warnings (though they are thoughtful and appropriate). This is a solid, well-made piece of furniture, and the irregularities are nothing to be worried about. The surface is composed of wood pieces, attached (seemingly) by pressure, adhesive, and (in some instances) joints, as evidenced by inlaid pegs. The finish color is attractive, warm and rich. If you're not looking for formal perfection, I predict you will quickly grow to love this table.I hestitated making a major purchase via the Internet of a large item like this. My fears were ungrounded. I am so glad to have this table."

Beautiful but delicate

"If you so much as set your car keys on this table, it will scratch. We have the 104" Java and it is a stunning piece of furniture, but it is simply not "finished" to be a piece of working furniture. We are furious about this because we love the look and size. I'm going to have to shellack it like a bar top"

"This is a beautiful table, which looks great. We were very pleased with the delivery, etc. However, there is a very major issue with the finish. This table scratches way too easy for an everyday dining table. There is not clear coat or poly finish, which means any minor scratch exposes the raw wood. Even something like sliding a dish across the table leaves a mark. After 1 week, we have several scratches that are visible. I am trying to see how to rectify this, but I cannot recommend this given the condition of the finish."

"We purchased the 84" table for our new log home and it is just perfect. I'd been looking for a farm style table for our home and found the prices to be out of reach ($2000 - $5000), I came across this table and was so excited by the value for the quality. I visited my local Crate and Barrel to see the table in person before purchasing and it was great - very sturdy, durable and beautiful.
We have two small girls who eat at this table three times a day and it cleans up easily! I highly recommend this table and can't wait to use it for many, many years. Plus the delivery and set up were wonderful."

"My fiancee and ordered this table as our first piece to start filing our home with. The table is absolutely awsome. The finish and build are truly reminiscent of a farmhouse table, and we will on more than the usual occasion be entertaining friends and family. It is truly a centerpiece and will be with us for a very very long time."

"We purchased the large table, bench & buffet for our wine room. We host dinners & hoildays here and wanted a rustic feel. The table is perfect & hutch serves as a buffet table PLUS stores many dishes & linens.
It added the perfect touch to our Tuscan Wine room.
Would highly recommend. Remember to put on a good polish if not using place mats."

Love at First Sight

"I have had my Basque table and 6 chairs for several years. I recently decided to downsize ... and was thinking about getting rid of it because today newer homes do not have formal dining rooms ... but, something inside me said this table is an integral part of my home. The quality, beauty and simplicity of this table have surpassed all others I have looked at. I loved it then and I love it now. This is an heirloom piece that you will want to pass down for many generations to come. This one is a keeper."

"I recently purchased the Basque dining table in honey and I'm thrilled with it. It is rich-looking, solid, beautifully crafted, and will last a lifetime. If you are looking for a table to get you through a few years and then move on don't buy this table--it's a keeper. I've had other dining tables in my life and this is the best I have ever owned, and the only one I will ever own from now on. Love it!"

"I needed a table that would seat at least 8-10 people, hold up against the daily wear from five children (ages 10-16), and still look beautiful in my home. This was the perfect solution. The wood is gorgeous and I love that it doesn't have a glossy sterile-smooth surface that most tables this size are designed with. It holds up very well to regular usage with very little cleaning effort required, and the best part is that the entire family can sit together comfortably.
We purchased two 84" bench seats to go with this table because the chairs were out of stock. They are just the perfect size to slide under the table, if needed, creating additional space."

Great Table! (for most people)

"Just got this table last week and we love it, its sturdy and beautiful and we have already gotten compliments on it. Since we have an open floor plan, I got the matching tv console and love that as well. The only drawback of the table is that the wood seems to be a bit soft and in the few days we've owned it, something has already made scratches on the surface. I have 2 small children, a dog and husband, so Im hoping that the inevitable nicks and scratches that come give the table more characater over time. However, if you are the type who likes things in pristine, new condition, this line of products may not be for you. Overall, we are very happy. Expensive looking table for a great price."

"We got our table last week after waiting since the end of May since the matching chairs were on backorder. It was well worth the wait. The more we look at it, the more we love it. The mango wood is so rich looking and I love the unique knots. It is strong and sturdy...very high quality. We purchased the bench which has been wonderful for our 4 year old, who would constantly ask for his chair to be pushed back in at our old table. Now he just hops on and off the bench. The chairs are very comfortable, even without seat cushions. I can forsee us having this table for a very, very long time."

"Locating a table that sat 10 was hard to find and am so glad we bought this one. It is solidly built. The top is one solid piece. Rustic in look but goes perfect with my modern chairs and surrounding pieces. The width surpised me most it will easily be able to hold platters in center and plates comfortably on each side. Hard to find quality furniture that will be with our family generations to come."

"Fabulous table...turned my kitchen into a home. Easy to take care of and the chairs are comfortable even without the pads.
I looked and looked, and just knew this was the one as soon as I saw it.
When we finished with the remodeling of the kitchen and placed the table and chairs in the room, my husband asked if this is what I had envisioned....it was exactly as I had envisioned....beautiful, warm and inviting...whether it be coffee, breakfast, lunch, or dinner..homework etc. It does it all, and looks good doing it!"

"I had my eye on this table and other Basque items for more than a year before finally purchasing it last month. It's a beautiful table - rustic, but not too rustic, and overall it is a great value. It fits my dining room perfectly and adds warmth to the room. Unfortunately, the side chairs and bench were on backorder when I purchased the set, so I am eagerly awaiting their arrival..."

"We saw the table in the store and decided to buy the floor sample. While in the store we arranged chairs around the table until we found ones we liked instead of buying the benches. We are happy that the different styles work well together. We didn't want our dining room to look so formal but also didn't want a too casual look. This table has been a perfect choice. The table is very sturdy. The wood is beautiful. It matches with an antique piece I have that is Tiger Oak.
Directions from Crate and Barrel say to maintain with beeswax polish. I could only find this online at other websites."

"Have had this table, six chairs and the bench for over a year. Even with two elementary aged kids it has held up great (i.e., still looks brand new). I followed the recommendations and waxed it every 6 months. Not a job that I love, but only took a couple of hours. Had looked for a long time for a large affordable table that had a simple, but unique look. Haven't regretted it for a minute. It even arrived two weeks earlier than promised."

"I wanted this table from the first time I saw it in the store, and finally bought it a couple of years ago. It is beautiful rich wood and very solid construction. Best of all, I can have large groups of friends over to dinner - we can seat up to 14 people comfortably. The width of the table is also ideal. I can fit place settings, serving dishes, and centerpieces on it without things looking crowded. I highly recommend this table."
