Crowd Pleaser

"It can be hard to cook for a crowd- especially when it involves potentially spicy foods. The recipes are all very approachable. The heat ratings are helpful- we have young kids so our go-to items are the 0/1/2's on the heat scale. Our kids LOVE the mild tacos but they are flavorful enough for mom and dad."

yum

"This book has some fantastic recipes. Some of them are complicated and take quite a bit of time to make, and unless you live in a neighborhood with authentic Spanish ingredients, it may take some time to find everything you need. But that's part of the fun!"

Lots to Choose From

"We got this as a wedding gift and we are very excited to try the recipes. The sauces, toppings and tortillia recipes look great."

It's in the details...

"We love to cook- and we love a variety of foods. However, it can be difficult to find foods that are suitable to serve our 1 and almost 3 year old. Why that matters: this book has a 1-10 "heat" or spice level index that is included in each recipe. When you're short on time- look at the cook times- with 3 recipes quickly under our belt- I found them to be very accurate. At the bottom of each page the author/editor has included what other items in the book will pair well with the item featured on that page, as well as a wine pairing. Also, the index in the back- very helpful. The index includes easy-to-understand instructions (example: oil-roasting a chili) that proved to be very helpful in the cooking process (not to mention referenced in the ingredients list of each recipe). These things really took the guess work out of meal planning and preparation."
