Ah!! My Chairs!!!
"Love these chairs. They are sturdy and beautifully finished. Being painted black, they will show wear if you have kids or rowdy pets. From moving, I've had to cover a few nicks with sharpie. Please buy the cushions!! Buttons, zippers, claws etc will scratch. Something I also found out what ruined finish: BUG SPRAY. It was a warm day, had a bbq, many people were in shorts so spray covered skin was on the chairs. I noticed an oily residue, cleaned it immediately with beeswax polish and damage is very minimal (almost like a fingerprint in nail polish) but I know it's there and will forever see it. Purchasing cushions today."

Beautiful and Comfortable
"I LOVE these chairs! Exceptional quality. Sturdy, and all the bottoms are balanced and level (which was hard to find when we tested other chairs). They look even better than pictured, and add such dimension to my kitchen island. They are so comfortable, even without a cushion. I am so pleased with this purchase, and highly recommend them."

Good Looking Cushions
"Bought these to go on the black vintner chairs. It adds a little color and color and contrast to the black of the chairs. These are used in my kitchen along with the halo table and vintner chairs"

Sturdy Chairs
"Bought these chairs for my kitchen, and as soon as i took them out of the box I was very pleased with the weight and sturdiness of the chair. Add to that the fact that they look great, and I am very happy with my purchase. I only wish I would have taken into account how visible dust is on a black set! Oh well at least they look good!"

Great for kitchen
"We purchased these kitchen chairs about 6 months ago. We did not purchase the cushions. The chairs are holding up great and are comfortable to sit on without the cushion. My only gripe would be because they are black they do show som scratches on the seat."

Perfect choice
"Purchased these chairs to compliment the Avalon table also purchased from you. Very sturdy and comfortable chair. Love the bit of distressed finish, gives a little rustic look, which I love. Chairs were delivered in a thick plastic bag, which tells me, the company takes pride in their products in making sure no damage is done during delivery. Thank you for that. I would not hesitate to recommend Crate and Barrel to friends."

Great dining chairs
"I originally purchased 4 of these chairs and then added 2 more to accommodate 6 guests at our expandable dining table. They look great and have stood up to use over the years. The first 4 were purchased in 2008 and second 2 in 2010. There are no visible differences in quality, color, etc."

Nice transitional style
"We have been using these chairs in our dining room for several months, to go with a rustic contemporary table. We wanted something that wasn't too starkly contemporary -- these work well. They are sturdy and comfortable; we are glad we purchased the cushions, but the chairs are OK without them. The back of the chair has a really nice curve that gives it an elegant look. The edges of the chair have a little bit of distressing (brownish red) that adds interest but isn't over the top like some 'distressed' furniture.
One note -- large people might find these chairs on the small side."

COUNTRY CUSHIONS
"These cushions soften the look of the black chairs with which they are paired. Make the chairs more comfortable too. I think the fabric will resist stains. I would give 5 stars if they were thicker cushions, otherwise for the price, it is a good buy."

Great!
"Great solid chair. I was a little hesitant buying just by seeing online. I purchased by calling the store on our tax free weekend here in MA. The sales lady was very pleasant. They were in the store within a week and I went to pick them up and it was so easy. The whole process was perfect, and I love the stools. I picked the solid wood vs. the leather ones because of how easy they clean. I bought the all leather ones from here last year for a table and those although nice weren't practical for every day use with kids spilling on them and mild going between the back and the seat. These are perfect! I wish they made a matching bench. They feel like we'll have them a very long time."

Easy Break Tie strings
"I have 3 small kids and the tie strings rip easily. I have the oval 6 seat blk table and 2 counterstools. I bought 10 to have 2 extra and have already gone through them. These are $30!each. $300 is a lot to keep replacing chair pads. They also dont fit back on cushion as well after washing them. wish I would have know before purchasing this table and cushions since a regular cushion won't fit these chairs. Crate and barrel normally don't have poor quality like this."
