"I got a set of these when I moved into my first apartment years ago. Let my oldest daughter take some with her to her first apartment. (going to have to buy more!) They are great as drinking glasses as well as for storing foods in the fridge. They stack easily and they are sturdy. My set has moved all over the country and after all these years still rates a prominent spot in the cabinet."

versatile
"I bought four of these working glasses with lids. My husband loves to use them as over-sized highballs (the size and weight feels good in his large hands), and I love to use them when I make smoothies. I make enough smoothie mix for two glasses, eat one right away and put the other in the working glass with lid in the freezer. I also use them as regular drinking glasses, and to store small amounts of leftovers. Perfect!"

working glass is right!
"We have 2 kids and one vengful cat, and even they are no match for these glasses. Perfect for everything from morning juice to bedtime glass of water. These glasses are used constantly all day, every day, and they get knocked over all the time - but they are really really tough. And for the price, you can't beat them."

Great glass
"Perfect size for a take-lunch-to-work bowl of soup. And at a great price. I also like that the lids can be purchased separately. Stackable too!"

Little work horse !
"At this price, with all the multiple favors it performs for you, why wouldn't you toss out $2.50 ?
I have used this in the microwave, refrigerated it, used it as a 'shaker' for salad dressings, kept toasted nuts tasting toasty in it, etc.
My advice, don't buy one, buy two!"

So glad to find these!
"I have used "Working Glasses" (French Jelly Jars) as long as I can remember and was heartbroken when I could no longer find them. I read a blog on the internet stating that Crate & Barrel was the place to go and was delighted to find them on the website! They are classic, durable, versatile and you can't beat the price. The lids are a real plus and make storage a breeze. Thank you Crate & Barrel!"

Classic & Durable
"I agree with the above poster-- I know them as French Jelly Jars. I bought these with my first apartment 30 years ago. I have broken TWO in all those years. I decided to research these today as I was worried they wouldn't be around anymore- and I want to complete and expand my set. Thanks!"

AWESOME !
"I would highly recommend this item and I know my friend would too. She has had these for years & she loves hers and I've always wanted a set so I finally bought 4 of the 21 ounce size and 4 of the 14 ounce size and 8 lids. They didn't carry them for a while and I am so glad they got them back in stock. Multi use glass is great for drinks, storing leftovers and during parties I use them for dips, if there is any left over you just pop the lid on. They are high quality and dishwasher safe, you got to love that !!!!! The fact they are made in the USA was an added selling point for me. These are a must have and also make a great wedding gift any bride and groom would be happy to receive !!!!! I'm getting a set for a wedding I'm going to in June. Oh and you can't beat the price, very reasonable !!!!!"

French Jelly Glasses - They Last Forever
"I purchased some of these so-called Working Glasses (aka French Jelly Jar Glasses) several years ago and then more when we got a weekend place. I don't think in all these years that even one has broken. I have dropped them on the floor and bounced them off the counter with no ill effects. And they stay beautiful year after year. I am going to buy more now for small storage containers to sit on the kitchen and bathroom cabinet tops - dog treats, nuts, cotton balls, etc. The lids work very well - airtight. And I might even purchase a couple of the Working Bowls. The company should list this glassware on the internet as French Jelly Jar Glasses because so many more people would be able to locate them in a web search. Not many people think of them as Working Glasses - although they do work!"
