The actual arching branches of a lilac arbor were used to silkscreen this original Marimekko of Finland botanical by designer Maija Isola in 1958. Today, Lehtimaja's graphic pattern awakens spring in our exclusive new pale mist palette on ultra-soft 300-thread-count cotton percale. Reversible duvet cover has a hidden button closure at bottom. Reversible comforter has quilting on the inside for a crisp look. Shams are tailored with knife-edges and generous overlapping closure on back. "I love this duvet cover! The color is exactly as it appears on the website, and it looks perfect next to my expresso-colored furniture. I had standard shipping, and it shipped in 3 days! I did have to iron it after I washed and dried it, but I have had to iron every duvet cover that I've ever owned, so that was expected. The width fit perfectly but it was a bit long for my king-sized down comforter, so I had to sew it. However I think my comforter may run a bit small. Very happy with my purchase!"

"We loved the duvet cover but it wrinkled in the dryer and I'm not about to iron it so that was a disappointment and the standard pillow cases run a little small"

"While the comforter and matching sheets/pillowcases are soft and comfortable, the color is different than the photo shown. The photo looks like tones of gray on white, but it is actually shades of khaki green on a cream background. That was disappointing to me. The standard size pillow cases are a bit small and the material creases very easily. Now that I've accepted the color, and it looks fine in my bedroom, I'm accepting of the rest, though not ecstatic with the purchase."

Very Scratchy

"We had these on our wedding registry and loved the pattern. The pillowcases are so scratchy I have been unable to sleep on them. We recieved the duvet cover as well which luckly I do not sleep directly on. I am so glad we didn't get the sheets. I thought that the fact that they were all cotton and a higher thread count would mean a nicer feel. This is the most expensive bedding I have purchased and I was very disapointed."

"I bought a queen size set of sheets and although they fit my bed perfectly, the pillow cases are way too short. I measured this product's standard pillow case against some i already own and these are about 2.5" shorter."

"Love this purchase, however, I had to replace my current down comforter because it was a lot bigger (which was a "queen sized" comforter). I acutally had to buy a king sized down comforter (from a different store) to fit in this duvet. But it looks great! Very soft!"

"Unlike my 3 other Marimekko duvet covers, this one is made of very inferior fabric. It lacks adequate body and wrinkles unacceptably.
I wont feel comfortable buying Marimekko again.
I assumed that since my past experience had been good, any Marimekko purchases would be of similar quality. But this is not the case.
Very disappointing!"

"We love our Marimekko comforter. It is clean and fresh looking as well as super warm for our cold Michigan winters. The only problem is I'm having trouble keeping it from being wrinkled."

"I love the look of the design, but the first time I ordered the king duvet and two king shams, there were weird dark spots on the duvet. Like ink stains. I returned the duvet and got a new one. As another reviewer noted, the colors are off. One of the shams I bought looks like the picture... a soft taupe and light neutral gray. The other sham is a little darker, not too noticable. But the duvet is much darker tones, a greenish khaki and a greenish merium-dark gray. I just noticed it, and I am really annoyed. The problem is that they don't carry the linens in the stores, so you can't compare all the components to make sure they match. Then you get to drive around returning things and waiting for the next batch to arrive in the mail. I don't think I will purchase any more fabric/linen products from C&B. You need to be able to see it first. Disappointed."

"I shopped for months looking for the perfect comforter and I came upon this, I absolutely adored it. But it was stitched incorrectly and when I make my bed there is a huge lump where the batting inside was stitched wrong. Also the first time I tried to wash it, it ripped."

Much greener in color than appears

"Was happy to find this nice modern take on a floral design while re-decorating my bedroom. First saw it at the store on display and placed an order for one since they had none in stock. Recieved my order about a week later and wasn't pleased with the dull color of the leaves or the material. It seemed a grey/beige combo in the store (under the bright spotlights), but is way more on the grey/green side. I took it out of the package to see if it got better, but it only got worse, with about 2 foot long stitching flaw all the way down the center. Not the quality I expected from C&B, so it was returned."

"We recently painted and refinished hardwood floors in 2 small downstairs bedrooms. The walls are painted a light gray, and the floors are gleaming hardwoods. The trim is a crisp white. We wanted to give these bedrooms an uncluttered, serene-type look. We purchased the single & full size duvet covers for the comforters. The duvet covers play well with the gray walls, while adding interest and serenity to the bedrooms. The button closure secures the comforter. These duvet covers create a sleeping environment that simply exudes a quiet elegance."

"This is a really beautiful pattern, looks just as I expected. It's a little poofier than a normal comforter, though. Wish it was more standard in weight. Decided to keep it and it has been great this Iowa winter on below freezing nights. I don't think we'll use it in warmer months, though."

"I purchased the comforter and two shams. I love the print of the fabric but I am sorry to say I was very disappointed. The sham were over $34. each and they are just pillow cases.Made from a sheet, no weight, no border or trim what so ever. The comforter is pretty but even though the size is full/queen it is too big for the full size bed. I can't use it if I have a footboard."

"I am super disappointed with this product. It is very cheaply made. When I picked up the box it was mailed in I thought we were sent the wrong product. It was so light I could not believe a king size blanket was inside. When I took it out of the package I LOVED the pattern and I will say it did lay nicely. Unfortunately whatever stitch pattern was used to lock the batting, none of the stitches were locked. They were all frayed on the ends and coming apar. Now I have to send it back. Overall, it was one of the lowest quality purchases I have ever made from Crate and Barrel, which is frustrating because I really do like the pattern."

"meremeko is my favorite of all linens I've been buying them for 30 yrs .I did put this comforter in the dryer and had many wrinkles.Not your fault.I think I need to go to a larger dryer.

Beautiful Duvet!

"I ordered the full size duvet cover and just received it yesterday and love it even more than when I ordered. I got the mist color because we were wanting a really tranquil bedroom and the color is just that. The pattern is just gorgeous as some other reviews have said.
Just a note: I thought that the duvet cover was reversible with the blue quilted side that the comforter has, not the duvet cover. This was totally my misunderstanding but I thought I would note that in case anyone else is confused like I was!
One more thing--since the duvet was backordered when I ordered, it was delayed in coming. However, Crate and Barrel was nice to upgrade the shipping to two-day air in apology for the delay!"

"I bought the duvet, pillow cases and coordinating pickstich quilt. The pattern is so peaceful and refreshing but I found the standard cases to be skimpy and the seams twisted after washing. For the price I had expected much better."
