Beautiful, but a Headache to Hang

"After lusting over these mirrors for several months, I finally got a set of 4. The mirrors look beautiful, especially when hung together in a group. However, I have been trying to hang these evenly for 2 days and cannot get it right because, like others have said, each mirror is slightly different in size. However, once I figure it out, I know the effect on my decor will be exactly what I was looking for!"

"The mirrors are stunning. The hanging process was not pleasant. C&B should have provided (2) hooks on the side with wire to hang the mirrors. Instead, they only provided (2) holes that require you to level the mirror precisely. If you didn't have a long enough screw, the mirrors would tilt outward. It was very fussy and took a much longer time to hang."

"I hung these like they are pictured in the preview. I put nine of them together on a long large while adjacent to my piano. I received so many compliment on my mirrors. They are not so heavy and easy to clean. They already come with a hole inserted for hanging which easily hangs on the hercules hooks. They have a tin backing."

Dubois Mirror is beautifully unique

"I was scoping out the website and went into the local store for purchase and pick-up.
The edges of the frame are not as coppery as in the photograph, but it still looks great in an earthy type of way. It's just what I like. I haven't tried hanging it yet, but works just by leaning it against the wall."

Huge Disappointment

"I absolutely loved these before I purchased them...and was so excited...until I got them home and opened the box. They are not nearly as pretty as they are in the catalog or in store. Honestly, the product is horrible. I purchased 4 and they were all different sizes, I understand the item is hadmade but come on, they are obviously different sizes when up side by side. For the price, there is no excuse for the shotty craftsmanship. Of course, the store will take them back no questions asked, which is wonderful...not too many places will do that for you anymore! :)"

"The mirrors look great and I was surprised that they were so light in weight. Therefore, I do not understand why they do not have an eye attached to the back so that they can easily be hung on a hook. Hanging them evenly was made very difficult by the hole in the back."

"I saw the reviews that said this mirror was difficult to hang. I can see how that would happen, but I hung all 4 closely together to make a large diamond shape. Since each mirror hangs from one hook, I didn't have any issues with making sure the mirrors were straight. I am a 28-year-old woman and I hung up all 4 by myself and it looks great! Very happy with the final look!"

"I was really looking forward to hanging these mirrors in my bedroom. The pictures look fabulous and the reviews were all so positive but I received the mirrors and they looked so dirty. Not just an aged look but really dirty."

"This is an absolutely gorgeous mirror and looks striking alone or hung in groups. When the edges are butied up against each other, you get a wonderful geometric pattern. The antiqued mirrored rim and bronze finish are a bit unexpected with such a modern shape, but the different elements work together beautifully! I had read several reviews complaining about difficulty hanging these mirrors (there are holes drilled in the back near the edge of frame, and a raised panel in the middle pushes the edge farther from the wall), but I found the easiest way for me was to make a template out of paper, mark where the holes are, tape the paper to the wall, and then use Hercules hooks. Once you remove the paper, the mirror attaches to the hooks (and the hooks can slide out of the wall a bit to accommodate the raised panel on the back of the mirror) and fits snugly against the wall."

Great, but a huge pain to hang

"I love these mirrors, but I also bought them 2 months ago and they still aren't hung up. I have 6 of them, and it takes a lot of measurement and alot math to figure out how to hang them evenly. First of all they aren't exaclt 20 square inches. Then they have two holes and each whole is in a different palce on every mirror so it it difficult to make them even. I decided to use the center piece (which is also different on all the mirrors) and use a heavy string to hang each mirror on. Now the effort to get them up evenly. They are beautiful, and quite uniqe, but be prepared for a headache getting them up if you have multiple ones that you want evenly spaced."

"I have several mirrors to brighten up my small home and these are by far my favorite. I started out with two of these over my fireplace and bought two more because I love the look of the four together. If I had more space I would definitely buy more and am so happy Crate and Barrell still has them available if I ever find myself with more space!"

"I debated for months what kind of mirror to place in my dining room. I'm pleased to say I made the right choice. Originally, I was going to purchase 4, but after reading the reviews, I went with 6 of them. I'm so happy that I made that choice. They make quite a statement in the room. It's a room that doesn't get much natural light, but the mirrors accentuate what light it does get. You can only go wrong if you purchase the wrong amount."

"First of all, there is NO way I could've hung these by myself. My father is a contractor, and even he had difficulties. The problem was that the two holes on the upper coners of the back of the mirror (to hang it) were in different spots on each mirror, AND all the holes were different sizes. Dad had to get a drill to put another hole in the center so that they would hang evenly. The other problem was that the mirrors themselves are slightly different sizes (up to a 1/2 inch), so if you are buying multiples, just know that they will be slightly off.
I bought 6 of these for my living room. Once he got them put up, they looked beautiful! I recommend them because they are so stunning and different, but they were a pain to put up. If you've got someone like I had to put them up, buy them!"

"My husband and I live near the beach in a charming cottage built circa 1910. This mirror blends wonderfully with the personality and vibe of our home. Our guests always comment on it! We have it hung horizontally now, but will probably switch it up by hanging it diagonally for an entirely different look! The distressed look is fabulous because it is so versatile; I can definitely foresee this piece as a staple in any home we have in the future."

Pretty, but check workmanship

"Ultimately, I'm happy with this mirror, but I did have to do some minor repairs to the edges, which came a bit ragged. If you buy this in the store, ask to see it and check the edges before you take it home. Also a bit tricky to hang, as it has no hardware -- only two small holes in the back panel. Once you deal with those minor things, though, it's a lovely mirror. The distressing is really beautiful and provides a nice contrast to our modern furnishings."
