Sloane Mahogany Leaning Wine Bar/Bookcase Set
Create an entire wall of storage and display with our popular leaning storage system. Sturdy wine bar stores 15 bottles of wine and plenty of hanging stems. Additional storage includes one drawer beneath the open serving area, two fixed shelves above. Bookcases with five gallery-style shelves flank the wine bar on both sides. All-wood construction and a dark mahogany finish secures against the wall for maximum stability. "This is a fantastic peice of furniture! Took hubby and dad less than 2 hours to totally complete (including clean up)! Looks great - had family/friends over last night and got raves from everyone...even the very critical persons...
LOVE IT.
We did not anchor it and don't plan to....putting albums on the bottom shelves and wine in storage space to hold it down....
We waited about 2 years to save up for this - SO glad we finally got it!!"

"I agree with previous reviewer, pay attention to the angles when installing the shelves. Other than that, it's cake to assemble. I assembled these 3 pieces in an afternoon, alone.
The final product is everything that I've been looking for in a bar with storage to boot. It looks fab in my great room!"

"My fiance and I just ordered this to put in our dining room. He's not very handy and was a little nervous about the assembly part. But we managed to do it very easily! The only thing is that you need to make sure you pay attention to which way the pieces are angled. The bottom connecting piece is angled so make sure you try it both ways before securing it. We assembled the wine bar first and weren't paying attention and when we stood it up, the shelves were facing the wrong way! Hard to get a good idea when it's laying down! I suggest putting together the bookshelf first so you get a good feel! Besides that, it looks amazing and fills in the wall very nicely!"

"I purchased the two mahogany bookshelves/desk piece and I absolutely love it. For as many books that I have, this was perfect for storing these items so I can have them handy, but they are not taking up much space in my apartment. Also, the open backs gives a much more light and airy appearance rather than a traditional bookshelf with a back piece which seems to take up the whole wall. I highly recommend this piece of furniture!"

"Bought this set as an addition to our dining room; it is gorgeous! We decided not to link the three pieces together and instead spaced them out along the wall. Also, we did not connect the pieces to the wall as our trim is 5 inches high and would require us to cut the trim. Received numerous compliments on this piece! Even convinced a friend to get the bookcases for his office."

"We couldn't wait to use all the gift cards that we got as Wedding Gifts for Crate and Barrel, and this wine bar was the first thing in our list.

"I have the bookcases (2), the wine bar, and the media stand. They were a perfect fit for the space I needed, and I am so pleased with how they look in my condo! Assembly wasn't too difficult (I managed to do it solo, though they recommend having two people assemble the products). Solid pieces that look great!"

"I have never received so many compliments on a piece of furniture than this wine bar/bookshelf combo! It's in our living room right as you walk in, and it is truly a talking piece. "Looks very nice, has a few minor flaws though. this is meant to lean against a flush wall. The room I used it in, did not (it has some moulding around the base of the room). Therefore the top that is supposed to hit the wall (and be supported by the wall) did not touch and the connections that pull the units together provide inadequate support. So I had to actually build an extender to support where the tops hit to relieve stress on the 2 connection plates that hold the pieces together.
Other than that it looks great, was not too bad to assemble. though instead of allen keys, i would have preferred philips head screws which would have saved lots of time."

"The styling of the sloane leaning "system" is fantastic. The shelves are very functional, and the look is universal, surround it with shabby chic or high end and it fits in equally well.
The minor setback we experienced was the pre-drilled support underneath the wine bar is much too close to the back of piece! If you have any sort of molding at the base of the wall you are leaning this against, you may find that the support leg cannot be screwed in. A few short wood screws will probably solve this dilemma for us, but it was a bit of a disappointment."

"This leaning wine rack and shelves are absolutely beautiful! I have received so many compliments on them already! It was very easy to assemble and is a very high-quality product. "I researched leaning shelves for quite a long time. I came across this shelf/wine bar combo and really liked it. Was a little turned off by the price, but decided to purchase anyway. I'm very glad that I did. The quality is top notch. It looks like a very expensive piece of furniture. Assembly did take a little long, but I was doing it by myself. Two people could really bang this out quickly. One thing to keep in mind is the type of molding you have along the bottom of your wall. I have an older house and the molding is a little more elaborate then others. It stick out a bit on the bottom and I can not get the wine bar part to sit flush against the wall. This is only a problem if you are a perfectionist and need the shelves and bar to line up perfectly. I got it to look amazing without them sitting perfectly flush. You will definitely need to anchor the shelves if you are on hardwood. I believe they are stable, but I wanted that little piece of mind knowing they were secure. I would highly recommend this to anyone!!!"
