A slim, space-saving design that cleans up in tight spots. Durable, fingerprint-resistant plastic can opens and closes whisper-soft with special air suspension Lid Shox . Steel pedal pops the lid (see additional photos), which can stay open for longer chores by simply pushing the lid back past 90 degrees. Front slide lock prevents access by children and pets. Wheels and an integrated handle allow for easy mobility. "I bought 2 black cans (one for trash, one for recycling). They are right next to each other but still don't take up much space. They work well, and are made with quality materials (plastic does not feel cheap--and I was glad to find out that the lifting mechanism inside is a metal bar, so that won't break over time). I love that the lid closes slowly after letting go of the pedal. We are expecting a baby soon, so I'm especially glad that the lid locks. Don't worry about the couple of bad reviews--those have got to be defective cans."

"This can fits in a small space, is attractive enough to be seen, and extremely convenient with its foot pedal opening mechanism. It holds enough but can't get too heavy because of its size. This has been a great addition to my kitchen and I love it!"

"Love this trash can. The slim design of the can makes it a great fit in narrow or limited spaces. The step -on feature to open the can is a wonderful as I don't need to touch it with my hands at all. Add to that the slow, noiseless closure... Really one of the best trash cans that I have purchased."

"Got this today and it is great. Love that the lid can be locked in the closed position, it can be lifted up by hand to stay up, or lifted by the foot pedal which then quietly closes on it's own. I wasn't able to put the lid on myself (hands are arthritic) but the great Crate and Barrel guys popped it on for me. Like it so much I could buy it twice. Large kitchen trash bags fit it perfectly."

"I was so excited to get this trash can after all the positive reviews only to be extremely disappointed. What a piece of junk. The pedal requires so much force to open the lid that it just ends up tipping the whole can forward. Then the lid doesn't even close on it straight. Maybe mine is defective but I would not recomend this at all. Sorry...."

"Love the slim profile of this trash can, and the mocha color matches my kitchen perfectly. The wheels make it easy to move around, and you can snap the lid back to keep it open while prepping food. You can also lock the lid shut, which is great for keeping curious little ones from getting into the trash. Well made and sturdy."

"Great Product slim line. Takes any trash bag just fine. Trash usually comes right out of it too. Peddle is nice and big for easy use to open. Wheels make it great if you need it moved for any reason. Ok here is my wish that it had a way to lock it open for those times when your throwing away a messy meat wrapper or something like that. An one more thing that is had a handle to wheel it around better. But, otherwise it's a great product."
