Great way to liven up any balcony

"I bought these to add some character to my balcony. I purchased the set with the wire racks to hang. They look very smart and help add some cheer. Highly recommend."

Great looking planters

"I bought these to hang off a balcony. I think they look great, they are holding up well and I think I'll get two or possibly three more summers of use from them. I love 'em."

beautiful planters

"When I bought the planters, they were nice, but the color was a bit fading so I sprayed them in black, they look nicer now and the planters are just the perfect size for my deck. On sale for $9.95 is not a bad deal either!"

Pretty but not durable

"Zinc planter boxes are pretty in the catalogue, but not very durable. I ordered five of them. It took three different shipments to get planters that were not dinged up in shipping. The paint scuffs and scratches off easily, and they dint easily. Some of this may have been from rough handling with the shipper, but mostly, the planters just scratch and dint easily.
Once I received all five planters, I have to say that they are very attractive. I like the sleek lines. The dark color is a nice contrast to the greenery and flowers. Once filled with dirt, they do not dint as easily. The light weight becomes a bonus, especially when you move them after they are filled.
I like the planters, but I have concerns about their longterm durability."

zinc rail planter

"My house is 83 years old, and this zinc planter adds just the right industrial touch. And the use of the railing sdds a nice verticality. Fabulous.
My only problem is that my wrought iron railing made the planter lean excessively. However, some determination, a little ingenuity and small pieces of scrap wood solved the problem.
A mix of peat moss and top soil and my plants are thriving.
Kudos, C&B!"

Beautiful, but not built to last

"I bought 3 of these, 3 years ago.
They look beautiful on my balcony railing, I plant herbs there, and my herbs have thrived there.
However, they will rust and tarnish with prolonged water exposure. I just threw one out yesterday, the bottom is rusted thin, to the point that it will no longer hold up the weight of refilling
So disappointing."

great trio

"I love these planters...they were shipped swiftly and arrived safely packed in individual boxes. these make a wonderful addition to our patio. I love the look and i love the varying heights. The only negative is that ours are in direct/full sun and because they are metal, they tend to get very hot. I have had trouble keeping the plants watered and preventing them from drying out. I have ordered some self watering globes to help keep the plants hydrated, but i do think the metal tends to heat up and cause additional drying to the plants. recommend these for partial sun/shaded locations as a preference."

Looks Great

"I bought this planter to go outside my door in our French Quarter courtyard. It's striking planted and it's height lends drama. It's modern but complements the courtyard's antiquity beautifully. I've had two other planters in this spot. This one's a keeper."

Great as long as you know what to expect

"I bought 2 of the tallest planters. The price could not be beat for the volume of planter you get. The insert was really nice as that woudl be a lot of soil to fill it with. Originally, I forgot to remove the plug, and the insert held water tightly (In case you would want that for some reason). The finish looks weathered, almost like a poor erase job on a chalkboard. When you wip it with water, it will show where you wiped. Rain also leaves white spots. None of this is negative, it gives it a weathered, but still modern look (and i am really really picky). with a brick in the bottom, it held up nice to some serious wind. I do recommend these and may buy more."

Wonderful containers

"Got the containers to add height to our deck plantings. All our other pots are low. These containers are in the corners of the deck and add interest and height. Very lightweight and easy to fill."

Perfect Planters

"I ordered two of these for our back deck. They are very modern and look great. It is nice that they have a removeable shallow pot to plant flowers. I put rocks in the bottom and took out the plug for drainage. I was worried because of the tapered shape that they might be top heavy, but they have proven to be very sturdy and wind resistent."
