"This is a case of you get what you pay for. This was costly for a trash can, but the trash can is designed very well. The non-fingerprint stainless steel is a miracle. How do they do that? It always looks clean. Also, the process of removing and putting in new bags is very good.

Pretty Darn Good Trash Can

"I have had this trash can for over a year and a half and I love it. It is large, so it can hold a lot of garbage before you have to think about emptying it. Additionally, the inside liner is plaster so you can lift it out (with the bag in it) and cary it to the outside trash can/dumpster without leaking on your floors. I love the "step opener." It makes it convenient when hands are dirty and/or full. The only thing I would recommend would be to have stainless steel cleaner on hand b/c the outside finish looks dirty if you try and clean it with anything else."

"This trash can is sturdy and fits well with the semi-round shape. However, changing the trash bag is a bit of a hassle (I actually don't like having to lift the entire inner bucket out) and the lid tends to come "unhooked" from the base if something catches it. Other than that, we've been happy with it. It looks good and the spring in the hinge has held up quite well."

"Normally I would not rave about any trash can but I have had a simple human trash can now through 4 moves and 6 years and it still looks amazing. Skip the stainless steel cleaners... All I use is windex and it removes finger prints to food stains. I also recommend getting the trash bags made for the can... They really do fit that much better."

"Bought this trash can 2 years ago with a wedding gift certificate. Definitely worth the money. The shape fits cleanly against any wall, and the product itself is very durable. My only gripe, like another reviewer, is that the surface smudges very easily. I just wipe it clean when I'm cleaning the kitchen counters, it comes out pretty clean."

"I bought this product to go in my first home. The shape of it has to be my favorite. While my kitchen was never big, it never got in the way. The lid kept odors trapped inside, and I even went an extra step and attached a deodorizer to the top of the can. It was the perfect size. I only had to take out the trash about once a week, but I was also living alone.
The only problems I had with this can was how easily it would smudge and get dirty. I recommend using stainless steel wipes on the can. I didn't and scratched the surface.
Also, while pulling a heavy trash bag from the can, I knocked the lid, disabling it from opening and closing with the foot pedal. It snapped back into place very easily.
Overall, a wonderful product, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to wipe it down about once a day."
