We've romanced a classic bombe shape with a cleaner, contemporary aesthetic. Sensuous curves from every angle are enhanced with warm caramel undertones in the slightly distressed charcoal finish. Great Piece

"I love this piece. In the showroom it had a black/brown finish, but mine is solid black. The piece is HEAVY, and very well made. I think it is one of two C&B I own that is made in China, but quality is as good as the more usual US made items. The leveler on one of the legs got lost, and customer service replaced it within days at no cost. Very happy with this versatile piece. Great drawer lining..."

"I got this piece to replace two night stands in my bedroom. It looks absolutely lovely! The color fits nicely w/ my decor and the lining of the chest gives it a special finishing touch. I use it for my lingerie and pj's. I think this also has possibilties in other areas of the home, making it a piece that I will keep forever. It comes already assembled and nothing that you need to do."

"I fell in love with the chest when seeing it in the store. It's is definitely a "splurge" peice for us, but I must say, it is totally worth it. We use it as an entry table complete with some framed photos and a lamp on top. Everyone who sees it always comments. It is wonderfully contructed, delivery was a total breeze and it has a classic yet extraordinary style that will give us joy for years to come. I can also see using it in a bedroom if needed."

This Chest Exceeded My Expectations

"I fell in love with this chest the first time I saw it on the Crate & Barrel website. The chest is absolutely gorgeous. It has been a conversation piece every time someone comes over to my house and sees it. I purchased it to use as a night stand in my master bedroom. I have a seagrass sleigh bed in my master bedroom in a honey color and the chest next to the bed just "pops". The chest is extremely versatile and can be used in many different rooms. I love this piece and I will enjoy it for years to come."

"I bought this piece after reading the reviews and emailing a picture to my daughter; we both fell in love with the picture and hoped it would be what we imagined! Well, it was BETTER! Way better! In fact, I am so jealous! It is just gorgeous - very feminine, fun, and whimsical but classy! Very Alice in Wonderland as another reviewer wrote - yet an updated, adult version! Love it! In fact, I want one too now!"

"I didn't want to have matched bedroom set, so I bought 2 of these bombe chests to use as nightstand. It's just gorgeous. The chest's simple lines and glossy black stain make it a great piece for transitional decor, but the curvy shape also makes it a perfect fit for a more traditional home w/o being overly ornate & decorative.
Drawers glide smoothly and include stopper for safety. Inside is neatly lined w/ silk paper, and back of chest also includes wood panel for a more completed look.
This is a very well made piece and good quality. Great buy considering it's only $799. A similar quality piece in furniture store will easily have price ticket at $1500."

"I adore this chest! I received it over the weekend and can't stop staring at it. It's elegantly designed and the beautifully patterned white and black wall paper inside just adds to this romantic piece! It's on the smaller side than most other chests, but I think it creates great versatility. This piece can go into the hallway, in the living room, the loft or the bedroom. Superb C&B quality as always. I am so pleased!"

"This a elegant small dresser that is a wonder accent piece. The black finish goes well in almost any setting. The hand rubbed finish is subtle and is a nice accent.
If moving the piece upstairs know that it is heavier than it looks and is easier to move without the drawers in place. When removing the draws be sure to turn up small metal locks located in the top back end of the each drawer."

"I bought the Avery Bombe Chest for my daughter's nursery, of all things, and it's worked out wonderfully! It is not only appealing to look at and a piece that will be useable in many other rooms/settings, but it is sturdy and well-made. The distressed finish, along with the curves of the piece make it reminiscent of something you would find out of Alice's Wonderland (without being over the top). It adds a funky flare, and we will be able to enjoy it and re-invent rooms with it for years to come! It's just a fun piece of furniture."
