Excellent

"Just got mine (4-Qt Red) yesterday and "baptized" it today with the Jim Lahey No-Knead Bread recipe. I'm delighted with the results. The recipe calls for the pot to be in the oven for total 1.5 hours at 475 F !! I was worried that maybe the knob might melt into a big blob, that the enamel would weaken and flake or chip off or that the whole stupid thing would crack ... None of this happened. The pot looks just as gorgeous as when I brought it home yesterday (no hairline cracks, stains, or anything) and the bread came out wonderful."

Cooks evenly and cleans up superbly
Date: December 7, 2009
"Our 6 qt dutch oven arrived within 2 days of my placing the order which was a nice surprise. For starters, the red color is really lovely and looks nice both in the kitchen and on the table top. Being as heavy as it is, this is not for anyone with back problems (such as myself) or anyone without very superior upper body strength! I had to wait for my husband to return from a trip to wash it before using it. We cooked a very messy braised short ribs (cooking time: 2 hrs) and were delighted at how evenly the pot heated up, how it deglazed so, so easily after frying, and how snugly the lid fit on top of the pot to retain heat. Then during clean up, my husband was utterly amazed at how just the soft side of a sponge was all it took to clean it, not the scrubby side. The disadvantage is the heaviness -- for me, even removing the lid a few times was too much for my back. Still, this was the best purchase ever. I had once cooked using the well-known French brand at my uncle's house and had since always wanted one of those but was unwilling to pay the price. This dutch oven definitely meets the quality of that one without a doubt."

Love it!

"This is an excellent dutch oven. We received it as a gift on our wedding registry, and I use it almost every day now - stovetop to oven. Makes excellent and moist fish, chicken, and roasts. No need to wrap items in foil inside of pan - this will hold in the moisture. It cleans up easily. I am going to buy the 3" high braising pan too."

Rah, Rah Red!
Date: June 19, 2009
"We're in love with this beautiful, red dutch oven. From soups to casseroles and from baking to braising, this stylish cooking vessel is a must have - especially for those who want to add a rich pop of red to their kitchen decor! This enameled cast iron oven is of great quality and value, especially when compared to it's considerably more expensive French cousin (who will remain nameless). Tip: make sure to store this hefty item carefully, always separating the lid from the pot."

Great Value

"I think this dutch oven is a great value; it costs a lot less than other brands and provides the same cooking experience. It is extremely heavy but such is the nature of dutch ovens. I love it for Bouef Bourguignon and Coq au Vin. It cooks evenly and is easy to clean."

great buy!

"I've had this dutch over for over a year. At the time I was debating between some other more expensive versions but opted for this one and have been very pleased. Love the color red, wipes clean easily and it's the perfect size for several of the recipes I use it for. The only downside is that it is heavy but the positives for the reasonable price far outway the one negative."
