Flexible Grip Mats

Four durable, flexible mats roll to funnel prepped foods into pans and bowls. Smart color-coding separates raw meats from fresh veggies. Non-porous and non-absorbent polypropylene won't dull knives, and a non-slip backing keeps them in place (see additional photos). -Polypropylene -Non-slip Santoprene (r) backing -Dishwasher-safe

Will buy again
Date: February 19, 2010
"Great size that allows you to cut multiple items at once. It's never slipped and stores really well because it's so thin.
Liquid can seep off edges. I'm due for a new set, so I may buy the ones with a handle. But they aren't the same size, so it's a tough decision!

Great gift

"My daughter loved using my flexible mats so it was natural to give these to her as a present. She loves them. They are versatile. And, I love rolling my dough out on them. They are the perfect size for my cinnamon rolls."

Impractical cutting boards
Date: December 27, 2009
"These are too large for the dishwasher. Who wants to handwash cutting boards? One got put in the dishwasher by mistake and bent, and it never again straightened out, even after I stored it under the heavy utensil tray. These flat mats are also impractical for cutting tomatoes or other wet items because the liquids run onto the counter. I only ever use them when all the other cutting boards are dirty."

Nice, but...
Date: December 21, 2009
"When my husband and I purchased the mats, we were unsure from previous reviews whether these would be sturdy enough for cutting. While the different colors and flexibility are great, we were disappointed when the mats scratched so easily upon first use. Also, per other reviews, the square shape doesn't fit too well in the dishwasher. So we hand wash."

I love this product !!
Date: December 5, 2009
"I have had a set of these flexible grip
mats and have enjoyed using them.
Several friends have seen me using them
and always comment on how great they look and comment how useful( to have different colors for different items) they look.
I decided that I would give several as
Christmas presents and know my
friends will enjoy them as much as I
have.

Great value but a few cons as well
Date: November 16, 2009
"I bought these on sale and I was very excited to use them. I do love them so I am creating a pros and cons list.
Cons:
don't fit well in the dishwasher
doesn't grip the counter as much as I'd like it to
Already have cut marks on them from only 1.5 months of use
no grooves for watery food items
Pros:
LOVE the color coding
Easy to clean
plenty of room to grate cheese, cut, or chop
much quieter than the current chopping board I have
great flexibility for forming a funnel
easy to store
would make a great gift

A Product Whose Time Has Come
Date: July 7, 2009
"I recently bought this set for my son, who has just moved into a home of his own. I've used silicone cutting mats for the last 3 years and absolutely love them. I used to have cutting boards out on the counter. My pet peeve with those was that they get dirty all the time and you have to clean them more often than you use them and move them to clean the countertop underneath. These mats are space-efficient: If you have the slotted panels in one of your cabinets, these are PERFECT for that. Reach right up and pull them out. Also great for those who don't have much room in the kitcheh because they do store flat or against the interior side of a larger cabinet. I love being able to chop vegetables on the mat and transfer them so easily to pots and pans because they are light and flexible. They are dishwasher safe. Unfortunately, these are just a little too big to fit into the bottom section of the dishwasher. My older set is rectangular and I can weave them in and out of the tines in the bottom of my dishwasher. The square shape of these makes them a little too large for that. You can still wash one at a time in the top of the dishwasher by placing it over your glasses. This is the only reason I couldn't give them 5 stars."

Super Handy Mats
Date: July 4, 2009
"These mats are really helpful in the kitchen! I never forget which mat to use with raw meat, veggies, etc. The colors really help! Also, with their flexibility, they are really great in handling all types of foods and making sure the food ends up in the right place!"

EXCELLENT PURCHASE
Date: June 21, 2009
"I love to cook but hate to clutter the kitchen with a million gadgets. These are the best, longest-lasting cutting boards I have ever purchase. They wash extremely well. You can sue them for separate foods and since they are colored coded and labeled at the bottom you can remember which one to use for chicken, etc. They are flexible so you can chop on the counter then fold them up and transfer the food you have chopped to place in the pan for saute. The best is that they take up no space whatsoever. Excellent purchase and a gift I have given to many friends."

Great purchase

"I love these mats. The color coding help avoid contamination and the flexibility helps when transferring things from the cutting board to another surface. My only complaint is that they are somewhat difficult to store."

Not as much "grip" I as I expected...
Date: June 20, 2009
"The cutting boards are easy to clean and the different colors are a good idea.
But I was disappointed by the lack of "grip". I already own several jelly cutting boards - and these are really not much different. The non-stick backing doesn't really help hold the board in place as much as I had hoped."

Cutting Board & Time Saver
Date: June 19, 2009
"These mats are so handy - they save on the wear and tear of your cutting board, help with food safety, and since they are bendable, even help to transport prepped foods. Easily the most used "gadget" in my kitchen!"

great product
Date: June 10, 2009
"I gave these as a gift to replace old cutting board... the person loves them. I see these used everyday and he completely appreciates how useful they are. He loves that they are color coded so there is no cross contamination and that they are flexible so he can just chop and funnel food into the pan. They are thin and do not take up any space... easily hidden in a drawer and not thick like other cutting boards that take up space and are not flexible."

Great!!!
Date: June 1, 2009
"I love these light weight cutting boards. I grap these for almost everything I chop, no hassle with heavy wooden boards. I just
taped the color code use to the inside of my
tray door and have it there to decide which
mat to choose.

Flexible Grip Mats
Date: May 30, 2009
"These are a great value for the price but cannot really replace a good traditional chopping board. I love that they are flexible and color-coded to separate foods. They are also a good size and minimize the need to transfer prepped food into bowls - I usually can take chopped veggies straight from the mat to the pan. Since I used them almost everyday, they started looking rather scratched and worn out after about 6 months of use but that is to be expected since I had pretty much given up my regular chopping board for these. They are not the best for meats or juicy fruits since there are no deep grooves to catch juices but works great for everything else!"

Awesome kitchen helpers
Date: May 28, 2009
"These are great! I first saw Rick Bayless use them on his TV cooking show, and thought they looked so practical. They are! I labeled mine with a permanent marker: "chicken", "fruits & veggies", "onion", etc. I LOVE the fact that I only use onion on that one, and I don't get that onion "flavor" on my fruit. The flexibility is great for getting chopped items into their containers."
